Predictions for the end of the baseball season?

Ok, we are in the homestretch. What do you think this seasons final outcome will be?

I am a true Yankee fan, but I think the bullpen is definitely shaky this year. I think they can pull off a pennant but I hope they can bring the World Series home where it belongs!

Predictions for the end of the baseball season:
1. Dodgers overtake the Phillies and win the NL Wildcard
2. Dodgers win the NLCS over that hated team from SF
3. Dodgers win the World Series, with Eric Gagne saving four games and getting the WS MVP.

In a perfect world, Mil, maybe. But in this world, where the only way the Dodgers can score runs is if they buy them, I don't see this happening. The Dodgers are going to have to overcome both the Phillies and the Marlins.
The Phillies don't have the arms to go far in the postseason. I know you're not going to like this, but the Giants DO.
All of the teams in the AL are wild card teams 🙂

The Yankees win the American League and go to the World Series. Down 3 games to none; they pull off an unprecedented comeback when Steinbrenner purchases the National League representative and orders them to forfeit the next four games. Yankees win ... theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankees win! Money beats heart most of the time (last years Angels were the exception.). Yeah, I'm cynical.

barring that, the chicago cubs will be 1 out away from winning the world series, when a giant meteor hits wrigley field, killing everyone in a 10 mile radius, thus perserving the "natural order of things".

I don't really believe in curses or what Steve refers to as "The Natural Order of Things". Unfortunately, I believe in incompetence, and shortsightedness, two ingredients that have severely afflicted the management at Wrigley Field for decades, as well as a feeling that it doesn't matter if they win or lose, everyone has a good time at Wrigley Field, and why rush to sweat over fielding a winner? Don't Cubs fans deserve better than this?
Secondly: The Yanks and Red Sox can never, ever, ever, ever meet in the World Series. Same league, same division. As the aforementioned qualities have afflicted Cubs management, the management in Boston has the same problem, with drunkenness (a by-product of the Joe Cronin/Pinky Higgins era) and mental illness (thank you, Dan Duquette) thrown in for good measure.
My beloved Phutile, Phoolish Phillies are having a fine season...they have days (like yesterday, 18-5 over the Braves, ha ha ha Mitch!), they have weeks. Far better than seconds, or minutes, like the past few years. If they are successful in the post, that's great. If not, I'm not gonna get worked up about it.
JPie's gonna get me. My nerve ends are tingling... 😀

I think it will be the Marlins and Phils to battle it out for the Wildcard but I also think San Fran with go to the World Series...
The AL, ummm, just to get tied down and tickled by JPIE, not the Yankee's... 🙂

Kinda dull

I played baseball when I was growing up but I have to say I find it to be a very boring spectator sport now. Thankfully it's football season! Now if you could incorporate some kind of tickling game into the watching of baseball then maybe it'd be a bit more interesting 😉

Wishful thinking, but to see the Cubs and Sox in the Series together would be incredible. Of course, the Cubs winning the World Series would in fact signal the end of all human existence. As a diehard Cub fan, though, I'll just have to live with that.......And JPie, you're the one who should be tied up and tickled around here.

Damn it! I've been on the internet and phone since 8am Central and couldn't get any Cubs playoff tickets!!! How frustrating!!!!

Damn it! 3 hours of sleep and I never get up this early for anything. So I sit here drowsy and frustrated...
