Is it just me, or do I think that this forthcoming title race will be the tightest ever? Here are my predictions for the top 4.

Man Utd Key Player: Rooney Prediction 1st

I think we are favourites and quite rightly so. I'm not even that bothered about signing a striker because i think we will score plenty of goals from all over the pitch. we have a youthful but experienced verve all through the team and I'm confident that we will win the title this season because we are a team getting better. Scary eh? Rooney will be the BIG player this season. He'll have watched Ronaldo get all the plaudits last season... and even though he is Ronaldo's best mate, there will be more than a hint of envy at how Ronaldo stole all the plaudits. Watch Rooney tear the Premiership apart this season.

Arsenal Key Player: Fabregas Prediction 2nd

Arsene wengers team gathered another years worth of experience. Don't fool yourself into thinking that they are finished. They are young and hungry and play fantastic football. Henry leaving will have the same affect Van Nistelrooy had on us. They'll be a far better team without him. I'm predicting them to be our closest challengers.

Liverpool Key Player: Torres Prediction 3rd

The biggest problem with Liverpool under Benitez is their away form. Too defensive away from home has cost them big time and I feel that tactically he needs to change the way Liverpool approach away games in the Premiership. Instead of trying to stifle the opposition Liverpool should be playing a more high tempo flowing type of football. Thankfully Benitez does not seem to have the capability to change the way his teams play. They'll come close but will fall away later in the season. Torres will be their main man but I don't feel he is the answer because he does not score enough goals. Torres is simply Kuyt2 in my opinion.

Chelsea Key Player: Essien Prediction 4th

This will surprise a few people but I think they will struggle this season. The African Nations cup will have a big impact on their season as they lose Drogba, Kalou, Essien, Milkel half way through the season. Again, I think they'll fade away after xmas and I expect a new manager to be in place by the end of the season. They will not score enough goals this coming season and with doubts surrounding Robben and Lampard I think Liverpool and Arsenal will pose more of a challenge.

How do you see it going?

I def like Liverpool to be the strongest challengers to Man Yoo next year. Should be a fun title race again.

Man United to win with a strong challenge from Liverpool and chelsea, Arsenal this season i think will go through a transitional season following the loss of Henry

Derby County:- Prediction, Premier League winners by a 12 point margin.

Key Player:- Darren Moore, the pace and elegance of a gazelle, the football brain of Pele, the passing skills of Zidane, the miserly, stubborn, ball retention ability of Kenny Dalglish.

What a load of tosh! 😀

"You're shit, and you know your are..."

😉

Thought you might enjoy that Subby me old china!....still, one thing is for sure mate, you have to be in it to win it, and your not!

Kuyt mark 2 my arse, typical Manc bullshit. He didn't sign for United! He must be shite! Stick that spud-faced Croxteth la-la Rooney right up your arse, I'm all aflutter about Torres. Every part of our team has been going from strength to strength over the past few years aside from the strikers, and I've long said that all we really need to win the title is a quality forward line. Granted Voronin is a bit of an iffy one (in my opinion, Rafa has given me few reasons to doubt his judgement so I'm holding my tounge until the season gets underway ^_^) and Torres alone does not a forward line make, but it's a good start. I think this is the first season in a long time where I'll once again get a sensation of disappointment if we don't win the title.

I think with the all around talent on the pitch that we have, not to Mention ROONEY/TEVEZ... (it WILL happen)

Don't get me wrong, I respect Liverpool's talent pool, but they just don't match up. I say, as long as Benitez is running things, the league is beyond you. The only pool players I wish we had, are Gerrard (obviously... although he's no Paul Scholes), Alonso and Peter Crouch. Ah, Agger as well.

Yeah, Gerrard's no Paul Scholes. Gerrard can boss a game rather than just sitting and waiting for it to happen around him, and can tackle other players without conceding a free kick every single time he does so. He has facets to his game other than attack, he'll never be like Paul Scholes and long may it continue 😀 Rooney/ Tevez? Maris/ Piper. As far as Tevez goes I'd take Mascherano over him any day of the week. Oh wait...

And what's this waffle about the league being beyond Benitez? That sounds suspiciously like the shite that spewed forth from Madison Square Trafford the year we won the European Cup. "He's played Djimi Traore, the European Cup is beyond him!" We all know how that turned out ^_^

The past three years at Liverpool have been marked by a distinct lack of prolific, reliable strikers, and if you're not good at scoring goals then you've got to get good at not conceding them, which we very much are. If Torres adapts to the Premiership then he could well be the missing link we need to start playing decent football away from home and winning the league. It still remains to be seen and the title might not quite be ours for the taking next year, but if we don't win it we'll run whoever does very, very close.

Ha ha, we'll be replacing you next season, old tup!

Nani is looking better and better each passing day! ^^ With Ronaldo (the best player in the world) coaching him, it's scary to think about his potential.

Calling the title for me this year will be impossible. As others have said, it may just be the closest title race for years. For what it's worth, here's my predictions...

1st - Man Utd - Their pace and fluency will win them a lot of games comfortably like this season, but the difference between the winners and the losers is who can grind out wins in the sloppy, gritty games which will probably come against the lesser teams and/or the newly promoted teams. Their ability to scrap as well as hammer teams will give them the edge for me, but only just...

2nd - Chelsea - An early defeat to Liverpool and a shaky pre-Christmas period will see people write them off, but an incredible run from January onwards will see them bypass Liverpool and nearly take top spot. New signing Sidwell will do OK but never have a strong enough run of games to claim a regular spot. After another failure to conquer, Mourinho may leave.

3rd - Liverpool - Man Utd's main challengers for much of the season - a 3rd placed finish may seem tough on the Merseysiders. A loss of form in March/April will see them concede 2nd spot and crush their title hopes. Torres will impress in a Berbatov-esque manner but Babel will be forgotten by May.

4th - Tottenham - No final day food poisoning on this occasion, they snatch the final Champions League spot off Aresnal with relative ease despite a shaky start. Bent has a modest first season, scoring 10/15 goals but finding himself on the bench often. Jermain Defoe regains his best form and is Bent's main challenger, while Berbatov's class sees him impossible to replace.

5th - Aresnal - They barely make 5th spot. A good start sees many people suggesting them as real Title challengers but too many easy defeats against the lesser teams sees them fall off. All 3 promoted sides beat them at home, and they also struggle to compete with the top 3 in the games against them. They look a promising side, but this season came too soon for a bunch of kids. A long Fabregas injury didn't help.

6th - Everton - Another impressive season but a late struggle sees them lose their bid for 4th place. James Vaughan takes many plaudits and after a productive season is linked with Man UTD in the summer.

Rest of my predictions to come shortly. I'll do all 20 🙂!

And to continue...

7th - Blackburn - A mix of flairy and no-nonsense players give Rovers a beautiful mix that sees them take 7th spot, as well as many points from the top 4. Mark Hughes assembles himself as one of the league's top managers, and Morton Gamst Pedersen's terrific season sees a big move to Aresnal in the summer.

8th - Newcastle - Consistent with their results throughout, it often isn't pretty, and their football often lacks fluency which costs them against the better footballing sides, but a solid season sees them give their ridiculously loyal fans some sort of hope of a title in the next decade. 1-0 wins are quite occurant, particularly at St James'.

9th - Reading - Possibly a surprise to many that they managed another top 10 finish, but consistent performances from genuine talents and hard-workers earn The Royals a terrific position. A summer exit for Steve Coppell, though, hinders their chances of similar success next season.

10th - Aston Villa - Nobody wants to see them do well (at least not me, I don't really know why, probably because they're an average team spending s*** loads on average players just because they can) but Martin O' Neill does a fine job in ensuring a top 10 finish for the Midlands side. John Carew thrusts himself to the top of the scorers chart with a superb campaign.

11th - Middlesborough - It's an improvement on last season, and considering they were 3rd bottom after 10 games and Southgate got the boot, it turns out a pretty good turnaround. Fuelled by the guile of a young English side, they shock many people to go from early religation candidates to comfortable mid-tableers.

Next few predictions to come soon!

We have claimed the community shield. Nice to start things off with a trophy.

Great... we draw to reading, and Rooney gets an injury... Not looking good...

As soon as old Spudface McBluecunt's foot heals up, eh? Still, at least you're not bottom of the league (lol Spurs) after having spent 40-odd million (lol Spurs) on odd players (lol Spurs) that nobody else would rate (lol Spurs). If this continues for any length of time I propose we change the acronym "LOL" to "JOL" until such time as the misfortune abates or the Dutchman gets sacked.

Ronaldo suspended for next game... It's VERY early... but even I will admit, it's going to be very, very tough. Based on current form, I have to say Chelsea is typically impressive. If I had to pick one team other than MAN U to win it this year, I'd have to say NEWCASTLE.

Where did you get Newcastle from, sir? If we're going to just start pulling title predictions out of our arses then I'll go for Blackburn Rovers; a team of comparable quality to The Toon, however the Rovers have at least got title-winning pedigree.

The day you start saying Newcastle might win the title because it's too hard to admit Liverpool have a chance is the day it's time to reassess your rabid loyalty to the Theatre Of Shite and it's malformed Devilish denizens 😀

He he...

It's too hard to admit you thieving scousers have any chances because you haven't got any! :Kiss1:

You lot are getting better, but you've a long way to go yet.

However, one thing is for sure - Derby shitty County are going straight back down!!! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it red! Yeaarggghhhh!
