"Yeah, i don't get it either. she was a housewife who did some charity work. Yay"
completely agree mate. mother theresa died the week before and the press didn't blink an eye. diana was just a friendly rich bird that the press loved because she was the first royal that didn't look inbred. it's ridiculous how the whole country went into mourning when she died.
still, i'm glad to find out she's ticklish!
Sadly, Mother Theresa's clinics were unsafe places, & didn't provide anything approaching proper diagnostics, treatment or palliative care weighed against the massive sums of moneys donated to her/her clinics.
And she was deeply, deeply convicted that the greater a human suffered the more blessed they were - she didn't believe in using pain meds no matter how severe the suffering.
The desperately sick while impoverished went to Mother Theresa's "clinic's" hoping for relief from their suffering- what they got was a religious conversion hard-sell while suffering to death.
There has been plenty written on this by highly credible mainstream sources.
OTOH Princess Diana was one of the first & the very, very few public persons instrumental in bringing public awareness of HIV/AIDS at a time when society largely demonized people dying of HIV/AIDS and children so afflicted were run out of schools.
In 1987 she opened the First HIV/AIDS dedicated treatment unit in UK Hospital.
She physically comforted children dying from AIDS at a time when it was uncertain if one could contract the disease by such contact.
She Donated & Raised massive, untold sums of money for research that led to the development of effective pharmaceutical therapies.
Such are only some of contributions to society & the suffering & under-served of our fellow humans, made by Princess Diana.
Yes, she was a "friendly bird" & sure she was easy on the eyes- but Princess Diana was so, so very much more than just that🙂
And yes, I would love to have tickled a her silly!
