Problem with webcam...

My computer is kinda fugged up, where I can get to my desktop or anything - cousin formatted my computer with a crappy copy of Windows XP, and we can't figure out how to register it, so the best I can do is get to the blue block that is about 3/4 the size of the monitor telling me I need to register windows. Luckily, there is a link on it that opens a browser, so I can do everything I need through there with a bit more effort.

Now to the reason I am posting this: I am trying to hook up my webcam, but since I can't get to my desktop, it won't automatically give me the option of installing the stuff. I was wondering if there was any way I could get it to install the software without getting to my desktop?

I am using some Logitech piece of crap webcam...

Hmm...well, while there would be a way for you to START the installation process, namely by going to My Computer, double-clicking on the CD drive (Once the installation CD is in it), and double-clicking on the setup.exe or similar file that should be in there. However, you wouldn't really be able to complete the install without access to the desktop (Since Logitech usually installs its programs first and then after a restart installs the camera drivers. The pop-up for the actual camera install should show up whether you can see the desktop or not, but if you can't even see the auto-install dialoge that appears when a CD is inserted, you won't see that.). Frankly, you need to put a decent copy of Windows in OR grab Linux, which is free. You really can't do much of anything in the situation you are describing.
