Hello,
Following a dream that I and im sure many others have, I decided to actually attempt building a tickling machine.
There were a few attempts on here and on other forums to collaborate on it but I have no idea what happened to those. and also i thought they were either too complicated and would require too much effort in building them
I have been thinking about designing such a machine for a long time, and Ive done more than enough analysis on its requirements and feasibility, and let me tell you this: everything it needs to be built is readily available and affordable! im glad that we live in such great times! There is no need to manufacture anything from scratch! just mixing and matching components with some creative building!
Now be aware, I am not a robotics, software or mechanical engineer (or any other technical designations), and I have no background in such fields. However, I am good at learning new things and applying them. So i believe that i will be able to finish this project or at least get it to a point where others might benefit from my ideas. What I do best is solve problems, and find creative methods to approach them.
I have just bought some components that will be a starting point for this project. After which I will test my concept on a single module that will "tickle" a single point.
the next stage would be to expand it into tickling multiple points in a single area of the body.
and the final one will be a modular sustem that will tickle the full body!
I will keep you all updated on my efforts as I go along, and i am thinking of starting a blog for the project.
I would appreciate any help from software and robotics people within the community if any would like to collaborate on this project!
