PS2 advice

yo ppl,

does anyone know how i can get to play US or Jap games on a UK console?

i have a UK console and i have a shop near me that sells US games and i had MGS2 and FFX in my Hand today!! but i still cant play them 🙁

if there is a trick to doing it without chipping the console then im up for it... failing that, ill chip the console.... i really need to play ff10 🙂

Sorry I don't have any more info, I'm in the USA here and the only probs I had with the PS2 so far is the darn laser needing bi-monthly cleaning with lint-free paper and butane (vastly superior and less harmful than alcohol to clean lenses).
