Psychology of the Amateur 'Ler

Have you ever noticed how even if someone never talks about tickling...

even if they're just a hired "model," who's getting paid by the hour for a video...

even if they'd never visit this board in a million years because they don't perceive this as an interest of theirs...

they still *smile* while they're tickling someone else?

(In fact, I look for that in video clips as an indication of actual tickling versus acting. Generally, if the 'lee is just fake laughing for the camera, the 'ler is quite aware of that and doesn't smile herself.)

I guess my question is: how is the enjoyment of tickling someone else so incredibly universal as reflected by the face of the 'ler, and yet the admission of the fetish is considered so unusual among the mainstream? It seems to me since just about everyone enjoys it -- it would be a more common part of the mainstream sexual foreplay.

It's would be kind of like if 95% of people really enjoyed drinking beer when it just so happens that they're doing it, but only 2% ever actually arrange to drink beer by their own design.

Any thoughts? How is something so universally enjoyed, but rarely done? (In the mainstream community....)

Well, about the ler smiling, I think that is on a person to person difference, because I know Master Chief never smiles when tickling someone, and I know my friend Renee, who happens to not have this interest, does not.

I think it is because children enjoy it most of the time. Therefore it isn't considered cool to let it out because it makes one seem child like.

I'm of the opinion that it's not that rarely done. None of the women I've ever been involved with has had a tickling fetish, including the current one, and yet every single one of them has tickled me relentlessly in the bedroom as well as elsewhere, as part of foreplay in addition to other contexts. And (I swear!) this is without my having initiated it in any way--I don't tickle them first to invite revenge; they just always always do it.

They don't do it constantly; they don't do it daily; they don't do it for hours on end. But they do it with regularity, with ruthlessness, and--yes--always with a smile.

So assuming my experience isn't wildly unusual--an assumption that I think is supported by a cursory scan of the subject coming up in blogs and in conversation--I suspect it's a frequently employed, widely enjoyed activity in both social and sexual situations. It's just ancillary to the main event, like other foreplay is.

(And as I've commented elsewhere, God knows tickling is a common and frequent enough activity among friends and colleagues in purely platonic contexts as well.)

I just think people in general enjoy "playfully torturing" someone or "controlling" someone as long as the lee has given consent.

Or even not; I've never ever given consent, and suspect that much of my ticklers' enjoyment of torturing me derives from that playful but still non-consenting character...

Yeah haha. I just said "as long as the lee has given consent" to be nice to the amateur ler. But, I know that deep down the amateur will enjoy it even if the lee hasn't given consent.
