I spend most of my time in the week working in a big city going home at the weekend to a small village.

Because of the snow people in the city seem more friendly and helpful toward each other, a bit more like village folk.

Does this happen in your area.

Where I am, people tend to automatically help eachother out if their car is stuck in the snow, but aside from that, they tend to act worse.

As I have gotten older I have become more/somewhat cynical, I only ask for help if I absolutely need it. The problem with small villages, people in the village will eventually chase you with torches and pitchforks. If they capture you and tickle you, well then it's all worth it!
