SUSPENDING HER DISBELIEF

OK, here's the fifth part of the Pure Artistic Tortures Series. Bit different from the others. Here we go...

pats5.jpg

I get inspiration from different areas, some of which you probably never heard of! From movies, other pictures, some real-life situations, and some more unknown and obscure. And as such, this picture was inspired by two "unknown" sources. It's more "artistic" than "torturous" when compared to the others, so I thought it would suit hippie girl B, who is kind of from an artistic background herself. Here she is tied up and suspended by an archway with a couple of "featherbots" hovering by her soles, ready for an attack. For once, the victim here isn't tickled to tears, but she will be soon! 😉 I suppose the look on her face can pretty much sum up what she's feeling better than any speech bubble could!

Now, I'm giving you guys a little bit of homework. I want you to find out what inspired the bondage technique with the sepia archway background, and what inspired the featherbots. As an extra incentive, if you name both of them in your replies here first, I'll grant you one tickle drawing request! Yes, I may not be taking requests for now, but anyone who can find out what inspired this pic deserves one! Please try to make a guess when you reply here. Sorry for being a bit anal.

Poisonous Monkey

PS: After this pic, I'll be changing B's name to Bey from now on. Just to let you know...

sexy bondage!

sweet bondage position! ok, here is my guess:

bondage inspired by the story of O ( the archway suggests that to me; this guess is just a shot in the dark )

as for robots, hmm, i'll guess that its the little spherical droid that luke skywalker practiced his light saber against in star wars IV ( when he was on the millenium falcon, early in movie ). Ok, second guess, the floating black spherical droid in star wars IV that was used to interrogate princess leia?

nice work chimp!

Oh...it's too bad B isn't in tears. I'd love to see those toes wiggling...

Wait.

Though I would love to give you an answer to your question if only to get that request (which I would really really really really really really really really really really really like), but I don't think I know enough to give something. Not enough info.
edit: After looking...the feather bots look a lot like those done by a certain other artist who does Topin In Training...

What would you call that bondage position anyway?

Well, the Story of O thing is as good a guess as any for me. But the little 'bots remind me of those little round buggers from the Phantasm movies. Only thing is, in those movies, they weren't anywhere near as playful as that. Anyway, that's my guess and i'm sticking to it. Greatly enjoying this series, monkey man.

Good God I love you stuff. Ok here is my guess. The bondage I'm guessing is from M.I. you know the "Lower me slowly to just a few inches above the floor trick". And my guess for the tomb, arch and tickle bots are from the movie Fantasia (not sure on spelling) you know where the group is chasing the strange old guy, somtimes ending up in tombs, and has those metal looking balls that chase them around (only those kill people). Ok I'm sure I'm way off but that's my inspiration if I was able to draw as well as you. Thanx again for the posts :smilestar

Reply time...

tyklfynd: When I first discovered that bondage position, I thought it awesome myself, hence why it's here.

meangry: This is before that moment, of course. And I really don't know that position. It's just something artistic in my eyes.

Falcon/rajee: Cheers. Now try taking a wild guess!

slacker: Cheers, mate. Glad you're liking it so far.

foosboy: Sometimes I get inspiration from the weirdest of places.

Morden: pwned? *scoff* Doesn't really come into it! 😛

Out of everyone, two people have named one of the references. I won't name who yet, as I'm giving till the end of the series for everyone to figure out both of them. But honesty, it's a tall man's order to signify my inspiration...

(Yes, the last sentence contains a couple of cryptic clues, folks)

Heh, like that line doesn't scream Phantasm for the metal orbs. 😉

No, I'm not guessing yet on the other point of inspiration (as I don't know off-hand) but have to say that it's quite a cute image (sometimes pretickling and a look of terror/anticipation can be even better than what might follow) and cool use of 'inspiration'. ^^

Well I finally get to say something on this set of pics your doing.

I keep having to roll my tongue back into my mouth and ten get my jaw back in order each time that I forget to reply.

Yeah loving this set of pics alright and really can't wait to see who's next.

The breathless moment, one might say. Of course, in a few moments, she really will be breathless from all the laughing that's about to occur! 😉

Somehow, I don't think ANYONE will find out the answer. OK, the featherbots were inspired by the spheres in the Phantasm series: Small metal buggers of death that are armed to the teeth with all kinds of spikes, drills and saws. That was the easy part.

The archway background and bondage position was inspired from an album cover, which is Signify from prog-rock band Porcupine Tree. I think 99.9% of people here would not have heard of them, and I myself have not listened to their tracks either, but I had to impliment that album cover in my pictures one way or another. For the curious, this is what the cover looks like...
