Henry VIII died in 1547; Elizabeth's half-brother, Edward VI became king at age 9. Catherine Parr, Henry's widow, soon married Thomas Seymour of Sudeley, Edward VI's uncle and the brother of the Lord Protector, Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset. The couple took Elizabeth into their household at Chelsea. There Elizabeth experienced an emotional crisis that some historians believe affected her for the rest of her life.[19] Seymour, approaching age 40 but having charm and "a powerful sex appeal",[19] engaged in romps and horseplay with the 14-year-old Elizabeth. These included entering her bedroom in his nightgown, tickling her and slapping her on the buttocks. Catherine Parr, rather than confront her husband over his inappropriate activities, joined in. Twice she accompanied him in tickling Elizabeth, and once held her while he cut her black gown "into a thousand pieces."[20] However, after Catherine Parr discovered the pair in an embrace, she ended this state of affairs.[21][22] In May 1548, Elizabeth was sent away.[23]

Has there been a discussion thread on the TMF about royal tickling? Maybe we should start one... Okay, the two obvious outstanding candidates would have been the late Princess Di and of course, Kate. Anyone else? Doesn't have to be UK royalty...

The former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, would have been a nice candidate, too. She's obviously amiable towards having her feet kissed, which she was famously (or some would same infamously) caught on camera having done to her. The idiots in the media promptly referred to it as having her toes sucked, just to make it sound more scandalous, but oh well.
Also, by extension, Kate's sister, Pippa, seems like she'd be fun to tickle.

There's also Princess Stephanie of Monaco (46), Princess Charlene of Monaco (33), and Charlotte Casiraghi (25), hereditary princess and fourth in line to throne of Monaco (and daughter of the late Princess Caroline of Hanover). That's all I can think of right off the top.
