Question about nest and day passes

I am curious about something involving nest and day passes. Lets say a newbie decides they want to go to nest and only go on Sunday. But here is the thing, if there a newbie and they go to nest on Sunday how can they go to nest on Sunday and not go to the newbie conference on Saturday?

NEST Day Passes are available Saturday and Sunday.

If someone has been to NEST before, they can choose
either day to come to when they register.

If someone has NOT been to NEST before, the only day
pass they can select and be accepted for is Saturday,
so that they can attend the newbie orientation, go to
the social, and hear the rules, and get to know people.
