Sorry to bump myown thread, but here's another one for ya!
How many innings would the first game go before Ozzie and Lou both got tossed by the umps??? Hahaha!
I'll say a half inning!
The bigger question should be how many innings till the "loyal cub fans" throw trash on the field because they dispute a call
There's that green-eyed monster again. Sorry your Sox don't have the world-wide following my Cubs do.
The Cubbies are the favourites in the NL, but the White Sox would be the least likely of the AL playoff teams to make the Series.
You were probably joking, but it's rare to see a manager get tossed in the World Series.
The cubs main weakness is middle relief. Strong starting to closer is key for them but they have issues trying to get to wood.
Why would i care how many fans a team has?
I can also say sorry your team doesnt have the league mvp(which at the moment, carlos quentin is a very good candidate) and potential rookie of the year(alexei ramirez)
A team's bullpen shrinks come playoff time, and they clearly have the ingredients for success in there: Samardzija, Marmol, Wood, are a mirror image of Delcarmen, Okajima, Papelbon from last year: The kid having a great year, the sub-2 ERA set-up guy, and the strong closer.
I don't know. Why do you?
Why would I care about a league MVP or a Rookie of the Year? Awards mean nothing. As the Oakland Raiders used to say...JUST WIN, BABY!! My husband is a big fan of the Cleveland Indians. Do you think he was jumping for joy because C.C. Sabathia was the Cy Young winner? Especially after what that fatass did in the playoffs.
I hope the White Sox win the AL pennant. I like the Sox. I don't like you and your jealousy.
I disagree
The keys to winning a world series is middle relief, defense up the middle and timely hitting
Its hard for a SP to still be going deep into games after theyve piled on over 200 innings all season, lot of pitchers get burnt out
Since my Cardinals are 10 games back and fading, what do you all think are the chances of a White Sox/Cubs World Series???
I will take your question literally. My estimations only:
Probability that the Cubs win the NL Pennant: 20%
Probability that the White Sox with the AL Pennant: 11%
Probability that both happen and thus they meet in the World Series: 2.2%
(The mathematically minded will note that I've treated them as independent events.)
No, don't ask to place a bet if you disagree with me. I am not a bookie. 😀
God you must be a typical delusional cub fan
Riddle me this, why would i be jealous of any cub fan or the team?
"Oh, we get national attention, we have fans"
Who cares?
As i have repeatedly stated, id enjoy less fans at sox games
I think your husband will be happy if cliff lee wins the cy young
Also, you dont dislike a player for a playoff showing, thats bandwagon all over it "I only like my player if they win!"
Back to delusions, again you avoid my comment of cub fans trashing the field. Instead you link it to jealousy or something to that degree, next you will prob mention the terry gamboa incident to which i'll have to mention the chad kreuter incident\etc etc. Fact of the matter is you have cub fans who go only to be there, if they think a play is "wrong" they get pissy and throw shit on the field, disrupting the game. These are possibly the same fans who proclaim wrigley as a great place. That should be nullified the second they start throwing shit on the field which btw, started to get REAL noticed when Henry Rodriguez was on the team.
Btw, you oakland comment, if thats what you believe then stop blaming bartman as you have done in other threads relating to the cubs. Who cares about a fan, "JUST WIN!"
Im not gonna make a playoff prediction because many times the wildcard team has upset the league leader in both divisions and we'll have to see what teams do make it in and what the matchups are
No chance of a Cubs /White Sox series. Cubs are looking good to capture their first pennant in 63 years, but the White Sox, even if they hold off the Twins and win the AL Central, will not advance in the playoffs. The Rays and Angels are simply much better than them. Not to mention the Red Sox.
