For myself, it all depends on what type of mood I'm in. When I have the time to create a story, I like a bit of classic rock or top country music playing low on my stereo.
Music before writing, usually in the car or out on my balcony via headphones. Depending on the story, this could be the same song on repeat for days or even weeks.
Smokes (sometimes, depends).
Energy drink (always).
Computer is on the floor (no idea why, but I can't write a story sitting up).
I don't really write any tickling stories, but for when I am writing, I prefer music that goes with the scene of the story I'm writing. For example, epic action trailer music with choirs/orchestras/lyrics in Latin get me going for fight scenes and other suitably dramatic confrontations, while more soothing music helps me envision calmer areas of the story during regular dialogue. Currently, despite the change towards the end of the song, Walking in the Air by Nightwish is my current 'calmer moment' song (along with some of Leaves' Eyes songs), while AMVs/music like this ( Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children spoiler! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia2HOVeo7q0 ) get the imagination going for battle scenes.
