Question for the old timers

I first discovered tickling online around 20 years ago and was pretty actively posting etc in those days. It seems to me that way back then, about 98% of those online were male lers. It seems to me that the tide has turned, and the majority of people are lee's by nature now, and there's a lot more female activity as well. Does it seem like that to you, too? What else has changed?

It feels like there is less action in online tickle groups. 🙁 I've been a lurker for about 5 years, and I can tell that the posting seems much slower and lacks a lot of juice. I miss the action that use to be around - where tickle talk was all over the place.

At least, that's what I saw when I lurked here about 5 years ago.

I'm not an OLD TIMER, I'm in my thirties, but I'll try and answer your questions.
The role of women on this forum has become one of leadership and equality with the men. Women of all ages are organizing gatherings. We speak our minds freely now, and for the most part, have realized our worth on the tickle scene.
I would disagree that 98% of those male lers you mentioned are all lees. I think what you may have discovered is that men are freely able to explore their desires as switches or lees, and that ler is not the only role for them. How sexy!
I think really that friendships and honest discussions between men and women have made this place very friendly to everyone that seeks that interaction. Perhaps others will weigh in on this subject.

Well, I am an Old Timer and I have noticed and admired the young people on here for one reason, the women in particular are so much more open about their sexuality and their interests. When we were younger women, we really didn't know anything about fetishes, BDSM much less access to the internet like today...... and homosexuality was something you were quiet about. The young women here are much more informed, comfortable and therefore present.

.......Now when you put together knowledge, mature sophistication, confidence and experience......you get the "Old Timers".....

I remember having one of my first real life experiences with someone the year Apollo 13 came out and that was 1995, so maybe I've been on since 1994 or so. Still, some nice changes in 16 years.

I don't think it's always the case that age, knowledge, maturity, and confidence go hand-in-hand. That might be true to an extent, but I don't believe it's true all the time. While I'm also "young" - heh, funny word - I am not open about my sexuality. I keep that part in PMs only, and only with people I trust.

Agreed. Nothing is "always" or "never"...

I believe that you did post your sexual preferences in your foot thread...but be that as it may, I still contend that the younger generation is so much more comfortable with exploring their true interests and able to connect......Information is just so much more available and the internet has allowed for a certain amount of community bonding that we just didn't have or really know about. Hell, I didn't know that tickling was a kink until I was 38 and that I wasn't the only one!!...It's all good...

Well, sometimes I have to tell others, lest I receive messages from males, directly or indirectly telling me that they are interested in me "in that way". Don't get me wrong - I love to make friends here - but I have to be somewhat open about my orientation in order to make sure guys don't get the wrong impression about me - that I'm interested in the opposite gender - when, in fact, I'm homosexual.
