question: groups for posting

Ok, I'm not sure this is the best place to put this post. But it appears that my soletickling account was just wiped out today on yahoo. This includes the soletickling group of course.

So my question is this: Where would you recommend I go to rebuild a site/group for displaying my pictures? I already have a deviant art site, but they dont allow anything that they consider porn, so some of my drawings have been deleted off there. I am looking for someplace that doesnt delete things that are porn, hopefully is free or very cheep, ( and its ok with me if they stick banner adds on my pages ), as long as no pop ups and not too annoying.

Any thoughts suggestions? smartgroups?

Sheezyart is even more gruesome than DA as far as rules on sexual nudity and sexual situations are, so I wouldn't suggest that. Although I wouldn't disclude any art site simply because of something like this. My philosophy on the matter is share what you can share where you can share it.

Baring in mind the fact that these famous art sites aren't just for one genre of art, it makes it harder to think of or suggest places that wouldn't mind whatever you post.

The ultimate solution is creating your own website or having someone create one for you. Because unless this is the solution you're either going to have to create some other group somewhere else (and risk it being deleted eventually), get someone to host your work on their personal website, or simply don't share your more extreme adult pictures on DA and such. This is why having your own site is very beneficial. If you have controversial work or something you know may get you in trouble, you can simply link people to it rather than leave the site or be discouraged by their policies.

You're more in control than you think you are.

Actually, whats wrong with just using this site, and TT to share your tickling fetish work? You'd get the best audiance for that part of your work here anyway and the best response (besides, most of the people here are there anyway and that makes up the bulk of replies you'd get for that work anyway, its just like having this community there only its bigger than you). DA and other sites do accept and allow alot of different art, even adult and photography but apparently you've posted some no-no's, but thats the only downside to this really.

I say make the best of what you already have. You already have the two leading tickling fetish sites on the internet (that I'm aware of) to share THAT particular facet of your art, isn't that enough? DA and others are better to broaden your more general art anyways, not so much this stuff.

Its easy for me to say though and I get away with it. But what I'm saying is, again, to post your work where you can when you can. Don't be discouraged by something which truely is trivial in the end.

It would only ever really be unfair and sad for you personally if there was no site, community or forum which would allow you to share this side of yourself at all. But there is and there always has been (at least until you became aware of it).

Thats something, and its better than nothing. And because that part of your art is fetish specific, theres no better place than these two places you're already at.

I know the artistic need to branch out and share yourself, but you have to know when and where you can do this and whether it will help you forward that aspect of your art or not.

One more time- share ALL your work, where your can, when you can and speak (through your art of course) to as many people that will listen. If you can't post it on DA or wherever, post it here. Hell, if I felt discouraged about this site when it comes to my non-tickling "regular" work (due to it not being what people want or expect to see and therefore gets very few reviews but is allowed nontheless) I wouldn't leave over something like that.

The good news is there will always be someone to listen and recieve you in these ventures of yours. And theres no better feeling than that, my brother. 🙂

cool, thanks for the thoughtful reply celtic. I plan on continuing to share everything on TMF and tickletheater. I love these two forums. I also think I will build my own site also. Any recommendations? ( I know html, being a software engineer, there really is no technical obstical ). I have poked around with tripod, but would love to know if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with them or any other hosting places.

You're welcome. I used to be able to create webpages and sites but I've all but dropped out of that at the moment, so I can't really help you there. As far as servers though, I wouldn't suggest places like geocities and the like, primarily because of restrictions and the fact that these types of servers tend to be down often and bandwidth is consumed quickly because there is very little of it. This may only apply to the free usage however.

If you are planning something long-term, like a perminent personalized website, then a simple html site would do at first, and being that you know how to do that you could probably do it on your own. Whether its basic html, or something more like php and such, the server you choose is very important because it dicatates how much graphical usage you can use, music, sound effects, etc (if you want all the bells and whistles). Obviously the more bandwidth you have, the more freedom you will have to be creative.

If you don't mind paying a monthly fee, I'm sure you could find a server thats both reputable, gives you what you need, and has fair fees, rates, and plans.

Sorry if this post seems ambiguous. If you would have asked this years ago I would have been able to help you directly, but I've dropped out of the website loop for now. I'll probably be making my own eventually as well, so fortunately its not something that is lost to me.

I'm sure someone here can help you though. Like HDS. He's usually pretty up to date on these sort of things.
