I think I can answer some of those answers, I might be wrong in my answers, as it happens differently with every producer, but you could get an idea.
What are some of the procedures companies have? Companies usually have a website where they sell the clips, they produce according to their conceptions of the tickling niche, and according to whatever the users request. Also, some other companies are producers only and not publishers, that means that they produce content for other companies to sell, which is something very usual on adult business. These companies obviously produce at the request of the buyer, who decides almost every detail. Something usual for the company is to have a catalogue of models to choose from, and then the content buyer decides who will participate and what they will do. This is also true for the companies that produce and distribute, in the sense that they usually have a lot of models, that they call only when they need them. Models are called only when they are needed (that is why you can see models in many different independent websites), with many exceptions, in example, some models own the company, and participate only in their company, etc...
Is it scary/nerve-wracking? It is usually scary for anyone to participate for the first time in anything related to recording or broadcasting. That is why it is a good advice for you to practice and do it BEFORE you do it for real. So, if you are not sure if you will resist to be tickled, then be tickled before, if you are not sure if you can resist to be tickled while tied for 15 minutes... Then try it before you be there.
Anyway, in tickling there is something very useful for you to feel safe. It is called "safeword", and it is a de facto practice, in almost any "hardcore" tickling company. It is simple: If there is a moment when you think you can not really resist anymore, you simply say the safeword, and everything is stopped at that moment.
Although it is recommended to practice, if you think you will resist at least one time, you can take the risk and go directly to the action. Why? And do you get to choose who tickles you (male or female)? I think this will usually not be the case. As you read before, the director, or the buyer of content, decides what will happen, including who will be in the video. So usually you will not choose who will tickle you, or who you will tickle.
And where does it normally take place? In their studios, which are usually big houses that none in the neighbourhood suspects that they are adult production sites. You should expect to be directed and not to direct. You should expect to work only when you are called, or to work all day long to make multiple videos. You should expect to go as far as you can go, and show that you are enjoying it. Of course these things are optional, but the less you do them, the less probability of success you will have.
You can expect to be paid something like $100 (more or less) for a 10 or 20 minutes shoot (which could take a lot more than 20 minutes to record, perhaps an hour). This will vary according to the length of the video requested, the actions performed, etcetera.
You should certainly think how far you want to go, and certainly conditions will be different according to those limits, as it is not the same to produce a simple spontaneous 5 minutes feet tickling video, than to produce a 15 minutes tickling torture video, tied, naked, and with a happy vibrating orgasm ending. Think about your limits and how far you can go, before you start to stop enjoying it.
Always keep in mind that you should enjoy it, and express you are enjoying it. If you are not enjoying it, then you should not be doing it.
You can always run your independent studio, or do other things. And doing that is different than working for a studio, and you have to do other strategies.
