Questions for the DBZ fans.

Well, I've heard that GT sucks in comparison to Z, but I just wanted to know why, in your guys' opinions. Is it because GT has nothing to do with Z? Are the characters' personalities changed? What do you think? I was watching an episode of GT and I liked how the American voice actors are still the same, it seemed like; I like them much better than the Jap voice actors, which is a rare occurrence for me as I usually prefer the Japanese voice actors because they seem to put more, I guess, passion into their work.

Also, for those who watch the movies, which movie has Gohan as SS2 and I guess it looks like he's in the Underworld? There's this woman throwing silvery monofilaments at him (to no effect, which is awesome) and another scene from that movie in which Vegeta rises up from the ground, looking annoyed as usual (presumably after having fought those same people). I also would like to know which movie has Vegeta and Goku fight each other? It's not the Buu Saga (with Majin Vegeta), because the drawing is a whole lot better and there's no 'M' on Vegeta's forehead.

I really didn't enjoy DBGT at all. It wasn't anything compared to DBZ IMO...everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is different. It's not what you will be expecting, trust me.

Personally, I disagree. I like GT as much, or more than DBZ, because it goes back to Dragonball's light-heartedness most of the time. Also, Chibi Goku and Pan are my favorite Dragonball characters, so GT's perfect for me. Oh well, different people have different tastes. I wouldn't say EVERYTHING is different though. GT does continue on from DBZ...it just has a few plot holes here and there. At least in GT people don't spend 3 episodes to power up...

Speaking of the movies, did you know there weren't manga of them either? Akira Toriyama didn't actually write them, he was just a consultant for them. This is why the movies also usually have plot holes, or just don't fit in anywhere (The 'World's Strongest' movie HAS to be after Vegeta and Nappa, because Gohan has been trained by Piccolo, and Goku knows Genki Dama. However, at this point in the series, Piccolo was dead and Goku was hospitalized, while Bulma, Kuririn and Gohan went to Namek. As you can see, this movie really doesn't fit!). GT is just like all the DBZ movies, really. It doesn't quite fit because Akira Toriyama was only a consultant on it...but some people still like it.

On a final note....I really, REALLY dislike the GT dub. Actually, the voices aren't THAT bad, but the dub opening sequence and background music just doesn't fit the shows style..

Heh...Naruto's one of the best animes I've ever seen. In my opinion, it's the best of its genre, beating Ranma ½, DBZ and Kenshin hands down!

DBZ Movie 9: The Galaxy is in Danger!! The Super Awesome Guy!


No, I don't think there was ever any movies that showed Goku and Vegeta fighting.

Well, Goku does fight 'Vegeta' in DBGT, but he's either Chibi (Child) version or Super Saiyajin 4 (Or Super Goku 4, depending on your philosophy) -- and Vegeta is actually Bebi Vegeta (Vegeta possessed by Bebi). Below I've found a picture of Bebi Vegeta vs SSJ3 Chibi Goku:

The Vegeta and Goku fight scene I'm referring to is briefly shown in a DBZ music video. It's Linkin Park's "Tried So Hard" song and it's about Vegeta. Vegeta Music Video is the file name, I believe. The fight looks pretty awesome, which is why I'm trying to find the movie or episode(s).

By the way, I know that the Funimation version of DBZ has American drawing in it (only really noticed this during the Cell Games, when the drawing became much, much better for some of the fight scenes, and after I saw some of the movies), but is there an English dubbed version of DBZ with the American voice actors in them, but that also has the Japanese drawing? I'd really like to see all of DBZ as it was drawn 'originally', but I can't stand the voice actors they chose.

Uhhhhh...unless American TV is VERY strange, Funimation never drew anything for DBZ, except the odd "Lets edit out Mr Satan's name on this flag here". Trust me, I'm pretty sure everything in the show is the original Japanese stuff.

As for your Vegeta Music Video...I think I've seen that. I can't be sure, though. The only times I can think of that Vegeta and Goku have faught in are when he first arrived on Earth, when he became Majin, and when Bebi possessed him. Each would be easily identified. First one, he wore old armour, and most of his attacks were pink/purple. Second time, when he was Majin, is the only time he ever went Super Saiyajin 2, so there would be lightning. Third time, when possessed, he just looks totally weird -- and Goku would either by a kid or Super Saiyajin 4.

oh hey thx, i think they changed the time slot for dbgt. Its on saturday at nine thirty at night. I set my vcr on friday and i got two episodes of some hot wheels crap. Then i checked the toonami schedule and they changed it. Thank you toonami for advertising that!jackasses.
