Questions regarding restraints!

Hey everyone, I have a couple of questions that hopefully the collective wisdom of the TMF can answer. My girlfriend and I are getting further into the wonderful world of tickling, and I need to know what the best restraints are! Can I find sufficient gear around my house? If not, what should I buy? I'm on a budget here, and it seems like there are plenty of different options, judging from the videos and pictures. Anyway, I would love some feedback. Thanks!

You can start with neck ties. They work very well and are usually readily available. Rope is always an alternative but make sure the rope you use is soft and comfortable to the person being tied up. Then you can get into Bondage Gear which can consist of anything from handcuffs to a Bondage Table that has eye hooks along the sides for tethering...Foot Stocks (which you can make yourself if you have any carpentry skills) seem to be a favorite in the Tickling Community. Leather Shackles are great because they are comfortable...so I am told. The list is pretty much endless. You can check the Images section in this site for ideas...Just make sure you play safe and have FUN !!! :2poke:

Velcro restraints....easy on...easy off...and you can find them just about anywhere.

Fifteen bucks at spencer's gets you a nice pair of velcro cuffs. Then hit Home Depot for some soft nylon rope, the fifty foot bag. Gives you plenty of room to play with, and only costs about forty five bucks total.

Thanks for the replies. Viper, I think I'll follow your advice and go get that gear. I'm pretty excited now, thanks 🙂

It depends in part on what you want to do.

Neckties or silk scarves are soft and fairly cheap - you can get a bunch of them for a dollar or two each at any thrift store. The main drawback there is length - three feet or so each means that mostly you'll be limited to simple ties (which may be all you need).

Leather or nylon cuffs are a little more expensive, but combined with some inexpensive rope they're a lot more versatile. I recommend www.sub-shop.com for the cuffs, and your local hardware store for the rope.

If you want to do really top-quality bondage then I recommend some good rope (1/4" to 3/8" solid-braid nylon, about 200 feet cut to various lengths) and some bondage practice through your local kink community.

I would suggest...

I would suggest cotton clothesline. It is inexpensive, very soft and comfortable, and length will not be a problem. I have used it very successfully...

Sincerely,
Bob

I find barbed wire works best. :jester:

Oh fuck! I'm sorry, but that just had me damn near fall out of the chair laughing.

On the topic, yes velcro restraints are awesome. Also, if you look on various sites that sell bondage gear, you can find all sorts of restraints that are relatively cheap. Depending on how much moving she does during the tickling, you may eventually want to upgrade to something stronger. But when picking out things like that, you should have her input as to whether she feels she'd be comfortable in this or that. One sure way to ensure she stays into the tickling with you is to make sure she is comfortable when bound.

Good luck and have fun. :wavingguy

Like most people seem to say on here you can use almost anything to tie someone but i find a good pair of handcuffs the best thing, they are easy to apply they cant get out untilu get the key and let them out. As they are so easy to apply they are versatile you can use em to hogtie cuff arms behind back or to something like a post or bed, i recommend you get some, you can get a good pair for around £20 here is a site you can get em from

If you just want something basic and you don't feel particularly proficient with rope, I'd say get a set of under the bed restraints, they're really easy to use, plus you can take them anywhere. Although, adjusting the main strap can be something of a pain in the ass sometimes.
