quick question for any web design gurus

to anyone who's listening:

i was just wondering how i keep track of how many people have downloaded a file from a web page. do i need a cgi program and where can i get one?

I'm not real knowledgable about that. But, I do know that some hosts have that feature built into their systems. If you haven't gotten a host yet (though it sounds like you have), that may be something to coonsider.

thanks ann, my host is pretty basic so i doubt they have anything like that - i don't think they even have the front page extensions, but i'll check all the same.
