Steve Spagnuolo has just signed a four year contract worth 12 million dollars to coach the St. Louis Rams. Spagnuolo was the defensive coordinator of the New York Giants. Excellent choice.:smilestar

i dont think he is going to work out with the rams, the rams have always been an offensive minded team and i think the owner wants a high powered offense and defensive minded coaches cant usually get that done, but i hope he does well

Actually, the "greatest show on turf" days are now over in St. Louis, they simply don`t have the horses to run that kind of offense any more. They are hoping to build a solid defense along with a ball control offense featuring Steven Jackson, and a soon to be drafted running back to compliment him. As for the owners, Georgia Frontierre passed away last year and left the franchise to her children, Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez. After winning 5 games over the last two seasons I don`t think Chip and Lucia care what kind of offense is run. They`ve hired a new general manager, and should have a new team president in place soon. This will be a work in progress, but Spagnuolo`s hiring already is getting rave reviews from fans.:headpat:

im not saying they can run the greatest show on turf anymore but thats what the fans are used to.. and at the first sign of trouble they tend to point out things like that... in pittsburgh if someone came in with a pass happy offense and was failing they would be criticized heavily.. so what im saying is they have been an offensive team for a long time and if spags doenst turn it around quick i dont think he will last long

Time will tell. Speaking for myself, I just want to see a competitive team again. The last two seasons have been hard to stomach. I`ve stuck with them, I even attended a couple of games but man its difficult when your team gets blown out week after week. And speaking of the greatest show on turf, I am rooting for Kurt Warner tomorrow.:cool2: I think they got a real good chance of beating Philly.

Considering the Rams D personnel I think Spags is a good choice.

I also think Spagnuolo being interviewed was part of the problem/reason why the Gints lost.
