Rams relegated.

The Rams went down two nil to Liverpool yesterday and there fate was sealed. So I have at least one season of wretched Nationwide league football to stomach, so spare a thought for old red indian as he sits in his teepee studying his road atlas to find the best routes to the likes of Grimsby, Preston and Rotherham. Ah well, its only a game, its only a game.

Is that Derby County? That's too bad; they were having a decent run in the Premiership, and had stayed up longer than most of the teams that came up with them or the year following. I hope they get back up soon. The real surprise this year, at least from the wrong side of the Atlantic, is that Southampton, a team which seems to spend three fourths of each season fluttering on the brink of relegation only to pull off a huge upset or two in the last couple of weeks to reach safety, had a much better year, actually threatening to finish in the top half. I'm a couple of weeks behind checking the standings (we no longer have a weekly television programme covering the fixtures), but was somewhat cheered to note that Manchester United had not run away with the title (not that either Arsenal or Liverpool would be much improvement). Anyway, sorry about DC.
