Can we cut the Rapidshare shit. Hasn't worked for me once. Seems like a scam.

There has been plenty of good material without having to use rubbish like this or hacha etc.

Let's get back to the way it was.

Oh, okay. Let's go back to 30 second clips instead of 20 minute ones. Yeah, seems like we're moving in the wrong direction by making the availibility of larger clips easier than before.

Besides it saves space here, and as said above you can have longer vids !! plus the fact of cutting files, redo them, people going mad with hacha and stuff .. what a gain of time and nerves 🙂

before we cut piepedro to shreads lets play devils advacate and ask a few questions. pie, what kind of connection do you have dial up DSL or faster? I found that rapidshare was a pain in the ass when i was on dial up but with DSL it works fine. 2nd if you want to give it 1 more try PM me and i can walk you through the steps, it is a little tricky till you get the hang of it. So let me know and hopefully we can make ya a lil happier peace and good luck

I used to like Rapidshare, but honestly? I'm starting to get a little annoyed by only being able to download a clip every 1-2 hours...

A lot of the time I download a clip that isn't up to scratch and have to wait 1-2 hours to download another one. 🙁

True, but then again they have to do something that makes people buy a premium account. It's their way of making money to keep the site up and running for us all. It's life really.

Ok, this is what you do.

1. Open up the internet.
2. Go on TT.
3. Go to the thread with the rapidshare link in.
4. Click the link.
5. Wait for the site to load.
6. In the middle of the page there should be a chart that lists the premium specifications and free specifications. Go down that chart and at the bottom there should be two button, a "premium" and a "free".
7. Click the button that says "Free".
8. Wait for the page to load.
9. On this page scroll down to the middle of the page and you should see a sentence that says "please wait ?? seconds" (the time should be ticking down).
10. Wait for the timer to hit 0.
11. A little security thing should come up where the timer was.
12. Type in the 3 character security code.
13. Press enter.
14. A menu should appear saying whether you'd like to save or open the clip.
15. Click "Save As".
16. It should now be downloading.

I think I got it all right there. If there's any problems just PM me on the step that doesn't work.

Also I'd like to apologise for the style my guide is in. I just made it as detailed as I could. I'm not trying to offend anyone.

why so ? it's pretty well explained, i don't see why it shall be offensive .. okay open internet is maybe tooo much 🙂

by the way the main problem, if it's one, with rapidshare is the fact that without a premium user thing, you have to wait 70 minutes for the next download ... so take long videos 😉

I think another reason so many people have a problem with it is a part of the human condition known as "instant gratification". People won't put any effort into getting anything if they think they can get it with an easier method. Plus its common knowledge that an individual is more likely to claim that something isnt working as opposed to admiting that they don't know how to use it. Basically its so easy to download stuff off of this forum that people don't even want to bother figuring out how to use Rapidshare.....when they can just bitch and bitch until someone else accomidates them...LOL

I also fail to see the problem. From the first time I used it, I though it was extremely easy to use. I understand that it can be frustrating to download big files w/dialup, but that has nothing to do w/rapidshare itself, so all I can get from this is that u don't like downloading big files.

Not trying to pick a bone here, but don't most larger forums usually host most/all files and uploads on a dedicated server? I don't take part in many other forums, so I'm not really sure (but that was what my previous understanding had been).

But I also understand that HUGE clips can be posted on Rapidshare at the same time while only smaller clips can be posted here... Just as long as images don't start getting posted in Rapidshare eh? hehe

I personally like rapidshare. Its the fastest/easiest way to upload a big file and almost equally easy to download it. If you cant figure out how to use it then im sorry, but i guess you are just to stupid for the internet.

Unfortunately, this version of vBulletin, as modified, is limited to a maximum upload size of 2 MB per post. To keep bandwidth and storage expenses within reason, the owner limits uploads to a maximum of 20 MB per complete file.

The beauty of file hosts is that they can accomodate enormous uploads, some in excess of 100 MB. The downsides are restrictive terms of use, unreliability of some hosts, excessive advertising, or confusing instructions.

Now why do all that shit when you can go somewhere, click one button to upload what you wanna share and then for anyone on the forum to download it...2 simple clicks! (one to open the page and one to download)...see my thread entitled "No Clip Useful Info"

And FYI...im on broadband and that rapidshare pain in the ass downloads like dial up for me..and it aint my server or PC cause I have ultra fast speed everywhere else..

Rapidshare works for me. 20min clips over 5min ones. Still not good with splits, avi, war and whatever. I like it.

Stupid? Wrong word to use. Many things about the internet im clueless myself. Many folks on this board know how to split files, use avi, know how to post clips and pics. I have problems with these, and we all have a weekness when it comes to the internet. Don't we?
