Ouch, this guy really, REALLY hates this country. And yet, there are millions upon millions of his fellow Americans who hate it along with him. That is so sad. Why do so many people hate this country? If you were in most any other country, and said you hated that country, you'd disappear.

Rapper: Blacks 'cheered when 9-11 happened'

If Osama bin Laden ever buys a rap album, he'll probably start with a CD by KRS-One.

The hip-hop anarchist has declared his solidarity with al-Qaida by asserting that he and other African-Americans "cheered when 9-11 happened," reports the New York Daily News.

The rapper, real name Kris Parker, defiled the memory of those who died in the terrorist attacks as he spouted off at a recent New Yorker Festival panel discussion.

"I say that proudly," the Boogie Down Productions founder went on, insisting that, before the attack, security guards kept Blacks out of the World Trade Center "because of the way we talk and dress.

"So when the planes hit the building, we were like, 'Mmmm - justice.' "

The atrocity of 9-11 "doesn't affect us the hip-hop community," he said. "9-11 happened to them, not us," he added, explaining that by "them" he meant "the rich ... those who are oppressing us. RCA or BMG, Universal, the radio stations."

Parker also sneered at efforts by other rappers to get young people to vote.

"Voting in a corrupt society adds more corruption," he added. "America has to commit suicide if the world is to be a better place."

What a turd.

Pieces of shit like that really chap my ass. Abusing his freedom like that. Maybe he'd like it better being a rapper in Afgahnistan or Iraq... I'm sure they'd welcome him and buy his music, eh? Everybody oughta boycott this scumbag so he ends up having to get a job at McDonalds, until someone tells them who he is, and they fire him. Asshole.

If that's what he has to say, then I've got just three words for him: Go to Hell. :sowrong:

I would like to say that his veiws and opinions do not neccessarily reflect the views and opinions of other african americans. :sowrong: I believe we live in a corrupt, racist, and social class bias society but disrespecting the dead doesn't help.

I like what fabulous had to say about it. (it was like he read one of Big Jim's 9/11 threads)

I do NOT think this guy speaks for a majority. I'll tell you this, though...a goodly number didn't rally around the flag very quickly when it happened.
I spoke to people at work right afterwords. The point was this: "our people have been treated, since the passage of the thirteenth amendment, like interlopers in the American Idiom at best. The vast majority of the time, White America has left no stone unturned in its quest to make us feel unwanted and unwelcome, has resorted to every form of ostracism and violence known to civilization to marginalize us, if not murder us, and yet somehow we perservered anyway. After all this, these people have the nerve to get angry because we see that the flag they want us to rally around stands for a falsehood?"
We talked more, but my debate, regarding the danger presented by the threat at hand, was halfhearted. My guess is that, if danger truly appeared on their own doorsteps, they would stand and be counted just like anyone else.
However, I don't think this rapper speaks for everyone. Only people whose physical appearence poses a threat ("I say that proudly," the Boogie Down Productions founder went on, insisting that, before the attack, security guards kept Blacks out of the World Trade Center "because of the way we talk and dress"). And, one thing you will never change is that first impressions are the most important...

I agree with Psycho in that disrespecting the dead doesn't help anything. Still, KRS-One and Knox bring up good points. The terrorists aimed most of their attacks during 9/11 at the rich and powerful. Granted, plenty of middle class people died in the planes that were used as weapons that day. I suppose KRS-One kind of overlooked that side of the situation. The most ironic thing about 9/11 is that the terrorists killed mostly Americans on that day, but they also killed plenty of citizens of countries throughout the world as well. This, of course, led to an unprecedented feeling of unity throughout most of the world against terrorism, which eventually culminated in the cooperative effort against the Taliban. It's sad to think that, only a year later, political agendas both here and abroad would lead to the same bickering that occurred before 9/11. In that respect, the terrorists truly won on 9/11, because they tricked our leadership into becoming the enemy of much of the U.N. and into passing legislation (like the Patriot Act) which would strip ourselves of freedom. Essentially, terrorists don't even have to steal our freedom from us, when our government is all too eager to do it for them.

Friggefraggem Grrrrr...

Gee, I'd LOVE to reply, but I'd get kicked out from it, due to extremely explicit language.

I'm African-American...and I dont feel that way. As a matter of fact, he's the only black person I know that felt that way.:sowrong: 😀

as an African-American, i feel KRS-1 is a big idiot. how in the world can he possibly say something THAT STUPID? he was happy when a foreign entity hi-jack planes and intentionally crashed them into buildings, killing thousands of Americans and people from other nations. the man is a moron....

he tries to justify it by saying the Twin Towers discriminated against blacks so, they got what they deserved. hello! Earth to KRS-1!! even if the Twin Towers DID NOT discriminate against blacks and let all the black people they wanted inside, Bin Laden STILL would have committed his plan. he didnt pick the Twin Towers to attack JUST because they discriminated against blacks. he attacked because he attacked. plus, he also attacked the Pentagon. did they discriminate against blacks as well? what a freakin moron!!! the attacks were against the United States. had KRS-1 been inside the building at the time, i dont think he would have been saying what he said. Bin Laden didnt care who he killed, he just wanted Americans dead. i still cant believe he said what he said....

The guy is obviously misled, and he'll never amount to anything now that he has done this. Oh well buddy, there went your career. he is definetly a small, small minority in the african-american community. In fact, I bet he's the only one who thinks this way.

The guys career has been over for a while he was a good old school rapper. i got to say though thats f*cked up.

Ya mean white-bread honkeys aren't the only racists on this planet ???

Well I'll be dipped in shit, ya learn something new every day.

edit: my comment was directed at the rap 'artist', not to any participants in this thread.

Psycho, name one country out of the 192 on the planet (excluding the Vatican) that has zero corruption and where nobody pays any attention to social class.
