See this movie.

It's really, really good. It's cute, funny, has a lot of heart and is just such a fantastic story. And it's not just for kids too - adults will enjoy it because it is so deep.

Probably better than The Incredibles IMO.

I'm glad to hear it's a good movie even though I won't be seeing it.

I'm sorry, but it's really difficult for me to wrap my mind around the plotline of a rat who wants to cook food. Everything I know about rats points to the gross opposite! In a word-ewwww!

I'm sure more will see it at the theater and I hope all who watch it enjoy. I just can't join the Ratatouille bandwagon!

Well it's a shame you'll let something as small and as trivial as that ruin it for you. It's just a cartoon, you're supposed to suspend disbelief. Films should be judged on their merits, not on irrational viewpoints.

BTW, I've got pet rats. So yeah, I'm biased when it comes to this one. Cuddle with my two boys for 10 mins and I'm sure you'll reconsider. They make very affectionate and intelligent pets. 😉

There's really no ick factor at all in the film once you put prejudices at bay.
It's funny though, because a few people I know that won't see this film simply because it stars a cutesy cartoon rat, yet have no problems seeing movies with a violent premise. Go figure that out.

Each to their own I guess. But I for one think the "ick" factor is totally blown out of proportion and is totally irrelevant to this film. Anyone else seen Ratatouille, what did ya think?

Ratatouille was good but by no means better than "The Incredibles".

Ratatouille is a really cool looking romance comedy where two pals come together for a common purpose(cooking), a woman is stuck in the middle, the two pals fight and make up...just that one pal is a rat and one is a man.
Honestly it is one of the better romance comedies I have seen and it is a good flic but not the best from Pixar.
One thing I will say is that the movie never dragged which is good for the kiddies watching the film.

Romantic comedy? :illogical

I disagree about The Incredibles being better. This film had a great plot, it was almost flawless (it had funny bits too but wasn't intended as a comedy). For a Pixar film, it's a serious one - a lot of them themes will fly over children's heads, so this movie also caters for adults. The animation, the characters, the story, the general crowd reaction to this one - I'll go so far as to say this is Pixar's best.

Anton Ego's speech at the end was just brilliant. And Remy was just so adorable. 😀
