I missed the last couple minutes of Raw. it ran longer than i taped! what happened with Brett and Vince?

Edge won the Rumble and is quasi-face right now after spearing Shaemus.

As well, the Raw Elimination Chamber is Shaemus, Cena, Triple H, Orton, DiBiase and Kofi Kingston.

And William Shatner sang a bunch of entrace music songs, which was hilarious. 🙂

Did anybody else see the Big Show completely miss that ref with his punch?

And I think HBK didn't connect fully on Sweet Chin Music at the Rumble and it was still sold as if he did.

The Big Show didn't even come close to hitting that ref. And the Bret/Vince/Batista attack at the end was very sloppy. Like they were trying to make sure Bret didn't get accidentally hurt.

That said, the show was very well done with good Elimination Chamber qualifying matches. Bret and Edge pulled off some fantastic mic work. Shawn's continuing frustration over his current losses is absolute gold! And as expected......Shatner was a riot!:jester:

I would say that the whole Bret v Vince deal is leading up to a match a Wrestlemania, but let be honest here, does Bret really look like he can go even against Vince?

Considering Bret is

1. 50 years old

2 . Is a stroke victim

I think Bret looks fantastic .

A couple weeks ago on TNA, I saw a grossly out-of-shape Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Brian Knobbs, Jerry Saggs, Jim Neidhart and Sean Waltman, all in one episode.

Bret can survive one match. 😉

Eh he can survive one fight , due to the stroke he couldn't work a full match or else he would be wrestling HBK at WM

Agreed. I'm pretty sure the rumors of a WrestleMania street fight between Bret and Vince is still in the works. They're definitely building to it.

Yeah that was the plan from the get go when Bret signed . It will be nice to see Bret back in the ring once more .

If there was a Bret/Vince street fight, it would have to be very scripted, carefully planned, and made sure Bret wouldn't get hurt. Batista and Vince really took it easy on him this past Monday night.

At the same time, Bret and Vince could always put younger, active wrestlers in their place for the match and just be in their corners similar to Vince/Donald Trump..

Yeah another possible angle is that Vince goes down to the ring and starts trash talking Bret , Bret comes down , they exchange a few words and then Bret punches Vinnie and applys the sharpshooter and vince taps out .

I think they'll have the match with Vince getting his ass kicked. He's had the upper-hand so far and I can see 'Mania being where Bret gets his revenge. A street fight with Vince taking all of the bumps makes sense.

I was scared for a second on Monday night when Batista came out. It looked like he was going to power bomb Bret for a second.

I guess my whole thing is that Im gageing Bret and how he as well as others look at Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, of course they've aged but they still look in great shape and I guess it is rather unfair.

I still think given all that Bret has going against him, (mainly the stroke) I dont think it would be smart for him to try and get back in the ring against Vince, and the best thing to do would be to have Batista fighting for Vince and maybe have Cena fight for Bret.

EXCLUSIVE: Detailed WrestleMania Plans for Vince vs Bret

According to a source within WWE, there is still concern over whether or not Bret Hart will be able to compete in a singles match against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26.

As of right now, WWE's "contingency plan" for WrestleMania, in the event that Bret is incapable of working a singles match, is to have Bret Hart and John Cena vs Vince and Batista in a tag team bout. The build up here is to Bret applying The Sharpshooter on Vince, but if Bret is not up to the singles match, WWE will be combining the two matches. At this point, Vince's preference is the singles match, but as I said Bret's health is of concern. If Bret decides he can work a singles match, then WWE will most likely book Cena vs Batista in a separate singles match.

Damn. I was hoping they'd use Bret to get the Hart Dynasty over. Be a good way to use his legacy while promoting the newer talent.
