Reaction to family tickling?

Over the holidays it's obvious when family get together that there'll be some playful talk or action of tickling especially children, but do you join in or does it make you uncomfortable since it's a fetish?

Me personally I get really hot and want to disappear, honestly family and sex just shoullllld not mix for me and that's basically what I see tickling as leading to..... so thoughts?

I'm with you, point for point, the only difference being that I don't actually have nieces and nephews and I'm rarely in the position you describe. Basically, I think it calls for a bit of an acting job, because it involves hiding the discomfort and showing just the right optimal level of non-committal enthusiasm and amusement. Going to lengths to remove yourself from the scene will attract attention as odd, and joining in the fun full-scale will cause more discomfort to you because you'll get turned on by the wrong thing, so just laughing along and looking forward to when the moment passes is probably the best response. On a side note, don't feel guilty for getting turned on. It's only with those who can't or won't restrain their actions that the problem rests.

If it's the littler kids getting tickled, it doesn't bother me one bit - it's not sexual so I don't feel uncomfortable.

If it's a male tickling a, say mid-teenage or older girl, I get uncomfortable and make an excuse to leave. Mainly because I don't like m/f tickling and the girls age, if she's a minor, freaks me a bit.

If it's a female tickling a mid-teenage or older girl, I get happy. Very very happy. Here the girls age gets a little more leeway with me. Just being honest.

I've got just such a family reunion coming up over the next couple of weeks. But heres the thing for me.

I have two very ticklish cousins, and i'm always happy to tickle them whenever i get the chance.

But where as tickling an older girl senseless will make me all hot under the collar, and make me want to take it a little further.

With my cousins and family there seems to be some kind of much welcome block preventing me from taking it too far.
It becomes more a fun tickling outlet for me, who rarely gets to tickle.

Now my cousins...the older of the two is over the age classed as a minor. She is very pretty now. and i've not had a 'tickle moment' with her since she came of age. But chances are it will be the same as always.

Not meaning to be offensive, but I find it quite disgusting personally.

Some people can enjoy tickling in of itself, for me however, it is linked to my sexuality, so the very idea of tickling a family member grosses me out. Way too close to something incestual in my eyes ya know?

More power to those who enjoy it, its just not my cup of tea.

I think tickling would be more popular if people weren't tickled when they clearly don't enjoy the experience. Thankfully, our family is more respectful of people's limits.

I grew up with a wonderful female cousin who was, and still is, more like a best friend. Tickling has always been a natural part of our relationship. I've posted about some of our experiences here, and more than a few people have emailed or private messaged me, saying that they have similar relationships in their own families. I don't see anything inherently wrong with it at all, but I think it depends on the situation and what each person is comfortable with.
