Recent change in cell phone industry

With the day that people will be able to transfer their phone numbers "between" cell phone companies rapidly approaching, I'm thinking about changing cellular networks. Currently with Nextel, but very unhappy with the service. Can anyone recommend a good cellular phone service?

Is anyone else considering changing their service? Just curious.

Any service that uses the cellular band (800 MHz) will give you the best coverage. These carriers include, Cingular, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, Cellular One, and most of the other carriers that's been around since the 80s & 90s.

The PCS, 1900MHz providers have spotty coverage and often don't work indoors unless there are repeaters in the building. These would include Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, and AT&T Wireless.

since i work there, you should choose Verizon Wireless. we do have the nation's largest wireless network, and the best quality.

Over the years I've had 3 different networks and Verizon has been the best for service and rate that I have found. I am very happy with them.

We used to have AT&T Wireless, but I don't recommend them. The coverage is spotty at best and I used to get ALOT of dropped calls. We have Verizon and have been very happy so far.
