Reflexology

Ladies and Gentlemen of the TMF, has anyone here ever experienced Reflexology or know somebody who has? The reason why I ask is that a girl I'm friends with on facebook and graduated high school together recommend it to me she wont be doing it ( although I wish she was ) but the mother of another former classmate will be...Long story short are there any benefits to having it done? Thanks

I did buy a reflexology book and a pair of the socks for strictly "non-medical" TMF reasons. A foot or full body massage feels great, but I wonder about the treating the symptoms versus the disease aspects, too. Alternative medicine techniques are interesting, though.

Ive done it a bunch of times. it actually does help a bit. i have a bad back. if i did it on a regular basis, im sure it would be more effective.

I've had reflexology. I enjoyed it as an intense foot massage, especially since it was given by an attractive young woman, but it's just a massage. I don't believe any of the health claims they put forth.

Thanks Milagros, I have an appointment on the 17th with a women who is attractive and the mother of a girl I went to high school with I'm not sure of the health claims myself but I guess i'll find out soon enough

Yea, it's someone touching your feet. If you like having your feet rubbed (who wouldn't?), you can enjoy just that alone. If you're looking for therapeutic stuff, I don't know. As a doctor, I don't buy it either, there's absolutely no science behind treating somatic complaints. That being said, if it relaxes you & elevates your mood, it can lower stress hormone levels and release endorphins, so there is something to be said about reflexology making you feel better.

So, sit back, and enjoy an attractive woman playing with your feet. I should be so lucky.

my mum is a regular reflexology customer and she used to tak eme quite regularly to a middle aged hippy lady called Mo - I don't remember how old I was....I must have been 13 or something - I remember it being a nice experience, but I got bored of it in the end - i think the reason I went was to help my headaches (which I often faked, so probably a reason why I didn't notice any major affect on me!) overall i like it, found the music she played and the crystals she used fascinating. i was a little off-put by my mum watching me, as I was concious of my foot and tickle fetish by this time - I also enjoyed the occasional times it tickled, and also sometimes found it painful. it did chill me out and I would go back again if i had the time!
