Repairing restraints!

Hello! I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'll do it anyway.

I own the "under the bed restraint system", which I picked up a few years ago at spencers for a reasonable price. The restraints have worked incredibly well over the few years, but I just noticed the other day as I was moving out of my apartment at school that they are starting to break.

The ring that connects the wrist strap to the actual "under the bed" part has started to warp due to my somewhat powerful amount of strength. What was once a ring is now a dangerous oval with sharp points.

I was curious if anyone else had this problem, and if so, how they went about fixing it; or on the other hand, if anyone has an idea how I might fix this.

Also, I'm looking to move soon into my own place (finally!) and I was thinking about getting a more secure restraint system. Does anyone know how I might go about doing this?

I have the same ones and the same problem thanks to two freakishly strong lees. It's kinda hard to explain how I fixed it, but I'll try.

The skinny little piece of shit ring that's bending - get rid of it.

You'll find a round piece that looks like this

and a clasp that looks like this

Attach the bottom of the clasp to the ring like you would a key, leaving the top part empty.

Now, somewhere on the cuff should be a small loop. Find it and attach the clasp to it.

VOILA!

It's kinda ghetto-fabulous, but mine has worked better since I did this than it did the way it came 🙂

I've got bondage cuffs and when I first used them, those rings started to break. I used boot laces to secure them to a futon and I haven't had any problems since then.

If you have a vice on your workbench, you should be able to use it to squeeze the metal ring back into to a more or less circular shape.

Then again, maybe it's time to replace those restraints altogether.
