Sheesh. Daddy Sunderland sure is doing his fair bit of squirming on the Larry King hot seat. This whole thing is sad.
It's very sad and unbelievable to me.I could never do this kind of thing to my children. It was one thing to me when it was her idea and something she wanted to accomplish.I thought well, sure there is risk involved but,hey everything has a risk.Let the girl go and try and accomplish something great.Who knows, maybe she can do it.
Now,to hear that this guy actually put his daughter in harms way, just to make a few bucks! That outrages me!I don't know what legally will be done but,I think something will be.It's so similar to what happened with ''Balloon Boy'' that the same thing will likely happen.Although,it's been a few days so,maybe not.
At first my problem with this situation was that I felt that it shouldn't have happened in the first place, even if it was her dream. I'd say there are risks when pursuing any dream but risking your life is on an entirely different level; it's the ultimate risk. The thought of that should have stopped them from allowing their daughter to do this, but now we all know why they let her do this. I can't even communicate how disgusted I am with those parents. They need to pay down the last penny.
Is that enough..they basically used their daughter as a ''cash cow''
Their son, too. Remember, the 17 year old Zac made the voyage before Abby.
The sad part is I think I heard a well off couple say while passing me in the subway "whatever do you mean American family values have gone down the toilet".
