I see some of you brought this up in someone else's thread so here is a thread especially for the discussion of older console gaming. From The Odyssey to the Dreamcast. Have fun! :bouncybou

anyone have turbo graffix 16(sp?)

spatterhouse and bonks adventure are 2 of the best games i`ve ever played

btw....if anyone has an urge to play some old stuff http://www.consoleclassix.com/

when you sign up you can play atari and nes stuff free

Does anyone remember using the intellivision, and their odd controller? Couple friends of mine would pay the baseball game, and have scores that would be closer to that of football games.

I have a SNES and a Sega Master System. Seriously. :upsidedow

I loved the master system. I had phantasy star, and my hero and black belt and alex kidd.

Thanks for the consoleclassix link. My favorite games were TecmoSuperBowl (Genesis), Tecmo World Wrestling (NES), Joe Walsh College Football (Genesis), and WWF Royal Rumble (Genesis).

I do. It's my favorite vintage system. I have about 64 games. I plan to get one of each game ever made. I have two TG16's and a Duo. I've been playing Splatterhouse a lot lately. I'm on stage 5. Other places to get games are...

Actually, I was wrong in my initial post, AphxA. I have only the Sega Base System (no Light Phaser or whatever that gun is called 😛). I've played Black Belt (a classmate let me borrow it a LONG time ago). That game was fun, but it got boring after I mastered it. 😀

pfffft

I only have/and had the

Xbox (what i own now)
PS2 (what i own now)

And i also owned a Nintendo
Sega Genesis
SNES

I'm not THAT old!

I wonder which member on here owns the most old gaming consoles?

NES, Super NES, N64, PS1, PS2, Game Cube, Game Boy, Game Boy DS, Game Boy Advanced.

So that's.. 9. Not bad for a chick. 😀

You don't even want me to post my collection but, I do have one of the oldest consoles. It's an Odyssey 300 (incomplete).

But....did you have the 3-D glasses for the Master System? They plugged into the console, and made the 3-D games....well....uh...3-D! I still drag them out once in a while, and play the missile game, where missiles start launching all over the place, and you have to shoot them down with the light gun.

MarioKart for the SNES is and was the most consistently enjoyable, durable game i have ever played, both alone and with multiplayer - really really fantastic.

I haven't been into console gaming since the last system I owned (and had a crapload of games for), the Sega Genesis.

I did briefly have an Xbox, but I rarely used it and finally gave it to a friend of mine with the two or three games I'd bought for it. I have no further desire to purchase a console system. My current PC games (Civ III - soon to upgrade to Civ IV; The Sims Deluxe & Sim City 3000 Unlimited) are more than enough to fill my time lol.

I agree with Dionysus. PC really is preferable in a way. Current PC's are usually right in class with current consoles and often better. Plus you can easily emulate games to a PC with a simple download. I play arcade games on mine all of the time with MAME as well as many old console and handheld games. My PC is 5 years obsolete but, next to all of my consoles, it is still the ultimate arcade all in one package and I wouldn't have it any other way! 😀

No Sean, I didn't have the 3-D glasses. But I do have glasses for my nearsightedness. 😛
