A useful Buzzkill? A dentist told me more people should be aware...
That older folks especially (but younger also!) apparently often develop cavities, major tooth damage
due to various medications, including inhalers
--- RINSE WITH WATER immediately after (inhalers) especially, but perhaps after other meds as well, (check with your doctor first.....)
because it seems many can do a number on your teeth!!
Don't swallow those remnants of course. I knew about rinsing to prevent "thrush" or other unpleasant side effects for inhalers, but apparently it helps teeth also.
*
As far as soda, sugary drinks --
Obviously soda has that phosphoric ACID FIZZ in addition to sugar & other chemicals... :/
If you drink water immediately after, you can undo some of that damage.
(*Immediately, not 5 minutes later... If you have water near as well...)
With alcohol, many folks know if you drink water along with it, you will likely keep hydrated & avoid getting drunk,
avoid a hangover
--- but you may seriously help your teeth too.
Same dentist said the WORST situation otherwise is young & old drinking or sipping soda, sugary drinks, all day long....
(including fruit juices or even "VITAMIN WATERS")
--- clueless, because the sugar & chemical content is hidden in small print....
That's a sugar/acid wash, all day long....
Have a nice day anyway!
