RIP, Ultimate Warrior...

I couldn't believe it when I heard about it, so young too he was 54 years old I'm 43 and I'm questioning my own mortality. I was having surgery and nearly had a heart attack while under the anesthesia From now on every day I wake up I will be very grateful

This is very sad news to hear. He was just at WM 30 and Raw the very next night. may he RIP

Sad news but not really a shock to me. I'm almost as old (52) as he was, and have lost three lifelong friends to heart attacks within the past two years, and am at risk for it myself (per my doctor).

R.I.P. Warrior!

Scant consolation, but at least he made piece with his peers backstage & said goodbye to the fans..

RIP

Funny thing, to die immediately after tying up all your loose ends.

Ultimate Warrior is one of those touchy subjects for me, but I think it's fitting that he got his ultimate reward, both here and likely in the next life.

If he was a chronic 'roid user in his youth, that might explain heart trouble later in life. But... who can say.

My condolences to Mr. Hellwig's family and friends. It's always tragic when someone dies so young.
That being said, let's be honest - from what I've heard the guy was a jerk. None of the other wrestlers liked him, he was rude to fans, including kids, and according to Jim Cornette, the Warrior intentionally damaged Bobby Heenan's neck and never apologized to Heenan.
Plus it's hard to completely feel sorry for someone who obviously abused steroids for years.
And finally(although this is not nearly as important) he couldn't wrestle to save his life. He was all hype, muscles and facepaint, and the only reason he got such a push was because MacMahon was obsessed w/big ripped bodybuilders, back then even if they knew nothing about wrestling.
Let's face it, in the squared circle, the guy made Hulk Hogan look like Kurt Angle.

I'll admit to knowing pretty much nothing about him, but those ads where he would just go on long raves about nothing in particular always made me laugh.

Sorry for your loss, UW fans and family.

Pretty crazy he died. I watched him on Raw the night before thinking man, I am so glad he chilled out. Hes back on top, everything is going great for him. BOOM heart attack.
