Rivalry renewed - Red Wings vs. Avalanche

It's been 6 six years, but tonight the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche meet in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

So many memories, so much hate, so much respect. These are two of the most successful teams in the NHL the last 15 years, here in the second round the world gets treated to seeing them together again. For the Avs you still have Sakic, Forsberg and Foote. Detroit still has Lisdtrom, Draper, Maltby, McCarty and Osgood.

This will be the 6th playoff series with the Avs holding a 3-2 edge in series wins. Tonight...drop what you're doing...turn on Vs (if you can find it) and get ready for another chapter in this rivalry...

foesberg doesn't do you any good if he's injured. hell, even theodore wasn't feeling good this morning and he still played and allowed 4 goals on 16 shots. although they lost, budaj saved that game for them. i still take the wings over the avs, however.

stars/shakrs begins tomorrow and that looks very interesting, especially with dalls possibly getting zubov back in the lineup. i'm just happy that fuckaheim has gone home for the season!
