the hollywood brother was thinking and was wondering if there is any movie series that really can compete with the great Rocky series? After all what other series for over 30 years makes people run up steps and makes people check the heart in themselves? Also can you think of a series that has you caring for the characters as much as in rocky for so long? The hollywood brother loves the clerks series, the star wars series and the bond series to name a few but the hollywood brother with the eye of the tiger thinks that the rocky films are the greatest of all time and that the new rocky movie deserves some type of award

Well, the obvious choice is Star Wars. Rocky is a great series, but on the 2002 census in Canada, 20,000 people put down their religious affiliation as 'Jedi'. It's pretty hard to compete with that.

I second what Snail Shell just said. With regards to the Jedi religion, a couple wearing Jedi robes protested outside Parliament that the Jedi religion should be made official. They were also accompanied by a Wookie. Nearby in Trafalgar square, there is a man who re-enacts the whole saga on his own. I honestly don't think anything can compare to Star Wars.

IMO, I'd say that the Bond series was more than a match for Rocky--at least, up to GoldenEye. After that, everything went a bit downhill.

it is a tough call. iguess the hollywood brother like rocky best because he is a role model for people and his character and story could really happen as opposed to the star wars which might happen, but it so far off in the future that it is hard to imagine

Don't get me wrong dude. The Rocky series is a brilliant series. As far as quality of cinema, it's probably better as a whole than Star Wars is. But Star Wars does have the bigger fan base. 🙂

the hollywood brother thinks star wars has a much bigger fan base in general but the quality of the story and the emotional impact goes to the italian stallion and rocky running up the art muesum steps.
