What's up guys and girls! I've just finished booking a trip to the States at the end of the year, a few mates and I are going to drive coast to coast in a big ol' campervan - sooo excited!! I know most of you are from the US so I was just wondering if anyone could suggest some cool stuff to see/do that isn't an obvious tourist attraction type thing. Cheers!

There's a slogan: "Ithaca [New York] is Gorges!". Lots of gorges and at least 3 fantastic waterfalls (though this year's drought might have weakened them).

Sounds like a blast, I envy you. If you pass through Central Texas I would suggest driving the Devil's Backbone
Incredible scenery.

Drive Route 66 and have a great time. Every state has something to offer, so just explore this huge country and stay safe.

Sweet as! Thanks for the tips guys 🙂

I hope you and your mates enjoy America. In general, you will find friendly, welcoming people from coast to coast. I know you are looking for non-tourist things, but if you get near San Antonio you really should visit the Alamo. The problem might be finding parking for your camper depending on how big it is.

I'm sure we will! It's been on the top of my list of places to visit for a while now 🙂 I only mentioned non-tourist things because we've already planned a fair bit of touristy stuff to do along the way, was just looking for some inside tips haha. Unfortunately we're not passing through Texas, such a shame I'd love to visit the Alamo! Thanks for the advice mate 🙂
