Well that time I thought would never exist has come. The time when I've lost interest in this place. I've been a member for a few years, and when I first found this place, I never wanted to leave. But lately, I get nothing out of coming here anymore. Post after post after post . . . and I got nothing. I just don't belong here anymore. Simple as that.

I'm not writing this as a sob story or anything of the sort . . . essentially, this is for the few (very very few) people I've met who on the off chance wondered where I had been and what I had going on. This place had been very special to me, so I figured I owed it at least to those people to let them know: I'm done.

So, I just want to thank the moderators for creating this place, and the many artists, writers and contributors that let a dumb schmuck from the small town realize that I ain't alone insofar as my fascination and love of tickling is concerned.

I was raised in a town of 100 people, on holidays when family visits, counting dogs, cats and cows. I've upgraded some to a town nearby of some 12,000. I haven't interacted with many folks online from small towns, fewer still in the tk community. I hate to see anyone leave, TickleHound, especially someone with a similar background to mine. If you love tickling, you belong here, regardless of where you come from. Yeah, some people get more attention than others, that's how it goes. Some folks hang around and never post, others post every few minutes and still hardly contribute. We're still a community. The door here is always open, fellow hayseed, hurry on home whenever you take a notion. And if ya just wanna discuss the rigors of being a tickler in rural America, PM me here.

Maybe some of the crabbier, whinier members could learn from your example. 🙄 Or not.

Hound, if you've been here long at all, you've prolly seen members come and go often enough to know that some of them felt similarly. Peaks and valleys. As with so many other things, it can be feast or famine here as well. You can come in one day and go, "What, that's IT?" and the next hour can offer up a post what shakes you to your core. Don't turn your back entirely on this... it's who you are. You'll just frustrate yourself if you try to purge it totally. In the meantime...

And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes I'll see you on the Dark Side Of The Moon

Well said Dan, I try to stay away from the "which celebrity would you tickle" threads and I`ve learned to only read about a page or two of a particular thread because thats when most of them get hijacked and turned into a chat room, with the individuals talking back and forth about how much they are going to tickle each other. Ticklehound, my advice to you is to take a break and return in a month or so and perhaps you will look at things with a different perspective, tickling is supposed to be fun. Good luck.

Well put....that's how I treat other boards that I'm part of (although, this currently is the only tickling board I'm now part of....the other boards are related to something else entirely)....for where I can't add anything, I just don't, and I move on!! 😀
