Saw the film last night. The folks at Lion's Gate described the film as 'Cube' meets 'Seven'. Fortunately, it is better than the Cube but no where in the same universe as Seven.

The film was acquired at Sundance for $2 million. The low budget costs contraints of the film show in the end. Better editing and some better acting could have made this a very good movie. As it stands the movie is just good.

The film is not nearly as gory as the trailers and movie posters would have you believe. Cary Elwes acting in the end of the film really falters. But the story itself and the way the film is shot is very original, and the film does a good job in telling the story. Definitely a dark, creepy film like Seven, but not quite as clever.

For a horror film, I think it was excellent and I think those that like these kinds of films will really like the film. For those who do not like horror/ thrillers, this is probably not going to get you too excited.

I am not a big fan of the genre so I am looking forward to reading reviews from the fans of this stuff to see if I missed something.
