Before Renny Harlin was hired to rewrite and reshoot the crap movie that was released last year, paul Schrader filmed a version. Morgan creek felt it wasn't gorry anough and wanted Schrader to add more gore. He refused and Morgan creek decided to scrap that version, hire Harland to do a rewrite and reshoot it the way they wanted it. But there was such a fuss from people online with petitions and such demanding to see the original Schrader version that Warner's/Morgan Creek had decided to rehire Schrader to finish his version. On Friday, March 18th, at 8:30pm, the world will finally get to see director Paul Schrader's Exorcist: The Original Prequel at the 23rd Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film. Schrader will be present for the screening. Even though the DVD of Harlins version will not be released till March, it has been released already in Australia.
