Thank god we don't have those problems in new england. Everywhere down south you have aligators, giant bugs, giant spiders, more giant bugs, more giant spiders. Last time I was in florida I saw a spider bigger than my hand. My and friends and I nearly knocked each other over into it's path freaking out trying to get away from it.

In the 1980s, I had a great uncle who lived in Florida. He was a regular golf player. One night at a family dinner, he told everyone about how he was playing golf on a course near his apartment, and he actually saw an aligator peer its head out of the water, and look right up at him.

I dont blame you for not going near that park, bug. I would not go near it either.

I lived in Houston 1980-87, and it was not unusual for people to find gators in their swimming pools, or on the yard or driveway. Houston has a number of Bayous, which you Yankees call creeks. 😛

And really, they are not normally aggressive towards people unless they have been fed by them on a regular basis, or feel threatened by them in some way.

That's scary about people finding gators in their driveways, yards, or pools.

My father had a client in Houston, in the early and mid 80s, who I met a few times. I dont recall the client ever mentioning anything about a gator at his house. Maybe the subject just never came up, or maybe it did, and I just don't remember.
