WOOOOO!

Seriously though, that was the worst officiating I have ever seen in my life:

Fleury shoves Fisher into that other Penguins player, Fisher gets four minutes.

Whats-his-face trips Fisher on a breakaway - stick and body hitting Fisher's legs - nothing. Not even a wink.

Letang's epic, full body hold.... no penalty.

Shameful refereeing. But totally exciting game.

I liked the officiating: they allowed the Pens 2nd goal, retracted the Kunitz one that would have made it 3-2 and the kicked one in OT by the Sens and then they put their whistles away and let the players play in the last 2 OT's.

Still, suffice to say:

I am really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really,

PISSED that Burgh blew it and didn't close this series out. :sowrong:

I have a hard time watching hockey during the playoffs, I like it more during the regular season. During the Stanley Cup the refs traditionally swallow thier whistles during a close game in third period and in overtime...Friggin Devils choked again tonight!!!

That game was absoutely messed up to the n'th degree, tense to a fault and the weirdest thing of all... the longer Leclaire went making saves, the better he got making them. Pascal Leclaire saved the Sens bacon a few times in OT2 and OT3 before Carkner won it. (Couldn't happen to a better person too!)

Sooooooooooo...Game 6 in Ottawa, if they win it there then look out Game 7!

The kicked goal retraction was questionable. I've seen more than one identical scenarios to that allowed no problem. And putting away their whistles isn't a good thing when some of the most undisguised, straightforward penalties (eg, the Fisher breakaway trip) I've ever seen are committed consistently against one team.

Maybe so, but I think the main reason why it was taken back (other then the fact that it was a clear kick and his stick never touched the puck) is because it would have been a horrible way to end the game.

As a former NBA follower, I for one enjoy watching refs swallow their whistles and let two teams duke it out.

I, too, thought that Fisher was tripped, but there were many uncalled penalties on both sides and thought that the refs were fair the last two OT's to let the players decide outcome of the game.

I would been pissed if the Sens won on a PP goal and would have felt bad (even cheated perhaps) if the Pens did.
