Severe Storms..

The weather between last night, and tomorrow morning. Was/Is/Is expected to be, horrible.

Last night we had a round of thunderstorms, with heavy rain.

This afternoon, we already had a severe thunderstorm, that was so bad, lightning actually flashed inside my apartment. More severe weather is forecast tonight, all the way through tomorrow morning.

Severe Thunderstorm Watches, and Warnings, and Flash Flood Watches and Warnings are in effect.

This vicious weather is supposed to last until nearly noon tomorrow, at which point things are forecast to hopefully calm down.

Hope everyone is staying safe in these storms with no damage to property or anything.

Here in the Uk we had a prolonged storm at the weekend that was virtually wind-free, I was at my partners house out in the country where it's much darker and quieter - it was truly wondrous sitting, listening and watching the storm across the garden with all the lights inside out. Each flash of lightning lit up the garden with such vibrant colours that just for a split second it could have been daytime.

You almost forget that flowers, the sky and grass etc are the same colour overnight as they are during the day!

That I would have loved to experienced that I love thunderstorms, you should see some of the wild weather we get here in Arizona talk about vivid and frequent lightning WOW

We recently got a fairly nasty thunderstorm. LOTS of rain, frequent lightning (I saw one bolt strike only about 50 feet from my front door), lost of wind too. We got a tornado warning, though no one apparently saw one touch down here; there was actually a tornado in a town about an hour north of here, apparently born of the same storm system we got. There were a couple of fatalities. Another town had a huge tree come down between two houses - it could have easily crushed either one.

This weather is definitely not funny.
