As long as Ralph Wilson is alive, the team stays put... Of course, he's 91... so anything could happen. His family has stated they don't want to keep the team when he passes, so I would assume it goes to the highest bidder... Unless, Ralph has something up his sleeve to keep them in Buffalo... The highest bidder could then move the team...
You can bet the NFL wants to relocate a team, either to Los Angeles (when they finish the stadium) or expand internationally (which the NFL would love to do)... The loyalty of fans in Buffalo matters not to corporate NFL interests, regardless of the stadium selling out even during their 10 year playoff drought... The mass protests in Cleveland didn't mean a thing to the NFL and Art Modell when he moved the Browns to Baltimore. Only through massive support and protest for years did Cleveland get their team expanded back to them in 99'... That won't happen for Buffalo fans if they lose the team, regardless of how loud they yell... The sports media already seems to have a bias against the Bills organization, so they wouldn't help the situation either... All in all, when Wilson passes away, the cards may be stacked against the franchise staying in Buffalo... but the fans have done nothing to warrant losing the team.
I've been a huge fan of the Bills for 23 years and I've never lived anywhere near Buffalo... I just decided they were my team when I was old enough and took interest in the NFL... It would kill me to see the team move and I would protest... The NFL has gotten a lot of money out of me as a fan, from merchandise, going to games and purchasing the Directv NFL Sunday Ticket for the last 13 seasons... They would lose me as a customer and I'd certainly let them know about it, protesting a move of the Buffalo franchise...
Should the Bills move to Toronto..? Or anywhere else for that matter? HELL NO!!!
