GRRR! The last three days I have been getting the most annoying spam mail! The same email which says "Drastically undervalued and perfectly positioned, UPDA is poised to soar" keeps making it's way into my mailbox on AOL. It is the same damn email, which says the same darn thing, over and over, and I can receive as much as 25 to 50 of the same email, if Iam out for just a few hours. I have reported them to AOL, changed my spam settings, and can hopefully combat it. I have no idea who the hell they are, or how they got my email address, but it is the same damn message over and over again! I hope changing the settings will get it to stop, because it is so damn annoying to receive dozens of crap emails in one's primary email box like this! :ignite:

I know what you mean, Mitch. I get hit with spam daily. That's why I switched to Mozilla Thunderbird from Outlook Express about a year ago (about the same time I ditched IE for the Mozilla Firefox browser). Thunderbird doesn't automatically open the emails, unlike Outlook. Whenever I get spam, I delete it and empty the Trash folder without even viewing it. If you don't use Thunderbird (and Firefox, for that matter), I suggest you give them a try. Here's where you can download them (they're free):

Okay, thank you. I'll look into it. I changed the spam settings on my email, to where the words and phrases in this email get delivered straight to the spam folder. The only reason I ever posted this, is because I was receiving like 25 emails from this same company in my regular email box. I will look into what you suggested, and hopefully changing the spam setting on my email will help. Thanks again.

That's why I am glad I use Yahoo as my e-mail source They have a regular inbox and a bulkmail box That way any junk mail/spam gets into bulkmail Sometimes a regular mail gets into the bulk mail folder :shake:

Do a search for cloudmark on google, they have plugins for outlook and outlook express.

I have a paid version of the software and once you've trained it, it eliminates 95% of spam.

One of the things I really like about my earthlink ISP is the spam mail feature, which basically lets you pick who's mail goes to your email, and EVERYTHING else goes to a spam folder which you can review before deleting/reporting/allowing.

What I wouldnt give to have one of these.....individuals.....who create this crap alone in a room with an aggravated, starving badger for an hour or so  My first computer was basically ruined after three years from that garbage.

On a more amusing note, I do catch myself smirking when I see those "breast augmentation" offers......personally I think my man-boobs are just fine the way they are   :jester: :jester:
