They played it safe this movie. Knowing there is no Agent J and Agent K, and after the flop of MIB 3, they played it safe.

There is no big finish as in the previous movies. After MIB 2, the studio milked it. See how long it took them to make MIB 3, even with Will Smith working on other stuff.

The studios are really taking advantage of franchise fans with these latest movies, Dark Phoenix being one of them.

Yup, it was a flop.

Really really cringing to see the same actors who played Thor and Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok be given such an awful script.

One of the main concepts of the first MIB, which made it great, was Tommy Lee Jones' character pining away for his lost love, who's still out there. It defines his character, and had an incredible sweet,
totally satisfying ending.

..then the sequels shit all over that ending and flushed it down the toilet. "Oh no, that girl he waited his entire life to marry? They got divorced, because....he spent too much time....starring at the stars.....WHAT?!!!!!!!"

Now he works at the post office, ….which has nothing to do with aliens or space. Then we find out he had multiple love interests all during the time he was supposedly pining for his lost love.

Then we find out he set up Will Smith to eventually be a MIB agent....even though in the first movie, Smith's tenacity and skill and wits got him the job, which he accidently stumbled on.

Jeez, Hollywood sure knows how to fuck up these story lines while milking them dry!

Just bring us Guardians of the Galaxy 3 where Valkyrie can make a cameo, or some further continued adventure in space with Valkyrie and Thor having jolly fun with Drax or Quasar or Adam Warlock.

Eh, I never found the "Men in Black" movies to be anything more than mild comedy.

I never really took them seriously.

The cartoon was a bit more serious and built the setting a tiny bit more but, well, meh.
