Has anyone here on the forum have sleeping Paralysis? For those who don't have it, it's this thing that happens.. You wake up but your body is still asleep.. so you cannot move your body.

For some, they have hallucinations and see things, whilst some hear strange noises...

I have had it for a few years now, I have it very now and then and at first it is quite a scary thing.. I never have a visual hallucination, but i hear things sometimes which can be strange... but it's interesting. My housemate also has sleeping paralysis but he hates it lol

However on a couple of occasions i have felt as if i am being tickled it does actually tickle, quite a lot.. it's very strange... I'm also a Ler so I haven't really ever liked being tickled that much.. but i get this tickling feeling on my upper legs and buttocks.

I wonder if anyone else has had it at all?

I've definitely had sleep paralysis before. I haven't had it that often, but I have had it 3 other times. Scared the living hell out of me. I've never been tickled during sleep paralysis, but I have felt that tickling feel on my butt and legs while laying down on my bed. I would be reading or something - or maybe just asleep - and I wouldn't be paralyzed, but a really strong tickle on my butt and back legs would wake me up in a fit of giggles. I've NEVER known what that is? Ghost tickles? Funny nerve? Any idea? I mean, it LITERALLY feels like fingers raking down my butt and legs. Tickles like hell. I have no clue where it comes from, which is the weirdest part...

Yea, I think everybody experiences that at some point or another. I have had it happen on several occassions. I think basically it's like the opposite of sleep walking. Your mind is semi-conscious but you're still asleep enough to not make your body move. I usually snap out of it by an abrupt moving that results in my jumping up in bed.

It is quite a scary experience when you first get it.. really just scares you mostly because you don't have any understanding of what's just happened.

I'm not sure what it is, but the weird thing in Paralysis is that you can feel everything... so it is as if you're being tickled.. and me being tickled on my bum is no good because i'm hugely ticklish there.. so it's evil =P

I have no idea what it is mind =O

I've asked my parents and they haven't and my brother hasn't either.. i know a good few friends who have had it but yeah maybe at some point everyone will.
Yeah it is like an opposite to sleep walking, except you are much more aware you're having it.. with sleep walking you wake up and realise you're doing it, not like you're doing it and knowing.. unless that does happen to some people? I'm not sure =)

I often have sleep paralysis, but I have never had that tickling sensation. I hate it because I'm usually lying half on my mouth and nose which makes it difficult to breath.

Well, I disagree with you, partially... (If this didn't have to do with tickling, I would say that this should be in a totally different thread in the General thread area, but it's not because tickling is involved... At any rate......)

I do not believe that I have no understanding of what has happened. I believe that it's a spiritual aspect. Many people just believe that it's an anomaly interference in the brain. I believe that it's spiritual entities. At any rate, I'm not going to argue about it, but it's what I believe. Just tell you. Why a demonic being would want to tickle me is beyond my understanding, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't happened - it has. From what I have experienced, it most definitely has.

The back of my legs and butt are tremendously ticklish. Maybe whatever it was that tickled me 😉 gets a kick out of my ticklishness? 😎

i've never had this, maybe it is just a ghost with a tickle fetish. i've heard of it though, one of my friends said she woke up and it felt like she was getting that tickling sensation you get from a raspberry but it was off an on. i never believed her though

That sounds really cool. Kinda' wish something like that would happen to me. I love raspberries.

Sometimes I get random tickles from what seems like entities. I mean, I'll be busy doing something, and I get the random sensation of a finger poking at my stomach or sides. Definitely tickles. Sometimes I have to tell people around me that I had a funny thought in my head to keep them from finding out.

Speaking of weird tickles...... Anyone out there get nerve spasms that tickle? Like, one or two nerves twitching like crazy and it tickles? That happened to me a few times tonight.

That makes no sense... You say if it doesn't have anything to do with Tickling, it should be in the general thread... yet then say 'But it's not because tickling involved" < In other words.. It is about Tickling, so it should be here... What i was asking was if others had been Tickled during sleep Paralysis... Speaking about sleep Paralysis as well isn't illegal in this thread surely?

Also.. what else is it you disagree on? That it's something you don't understand?... the first time i had paralysis i couldn't move, i was pretty damn scared.. didn't have a clue what was going on. In many religions they used to say it was something trying to possess you...

Anyway, the point is, I have been tickled a few times during it, which still baffles me.

Didn't want to create a religious uproar.

Uh ... yes, it does. :illogical

Tickling is involved. I'm aware of this. I don't need it to be spelled out for me. I also put that in my initial post. If this thread didn't have anything to do with tickling, I would say that it should be in the General section because of the fact that it also might be a rather touchy subject for some people. As it is for me. It is this way for me because some people like to bash religious individuals for what they believe. That's the only reason I made my statement, thank you.

I never said it was illegal. Stop putting words in my mouth. Reread my post. It's as clear as day. (For most people.)

Anything else you disagree on - say, more of the content of my original post? I knew what was happening to me during my sleep paralysis because I have researched it before it happened to me, so I would know. I also suffer from nightmares, as I *usually* have them just about every night, and they are so bad that they have actually affected by waking life. I've lost tremendous sleep from nightmares and from demonic beings. Then again, I know that a lot of people on here pooh-pooh the idea of demonic beings and the astral altogether, HENCE my point about the possibility of this thread needing to be in the General section, somewhere near religion because some people view this as a religious aspect. THEN I added - in case you missed it - that tickling is involved, so that cuts that idea out.

Get it?

Uh ... yes, it does.

Okay, well I didn't understand why you were saying that it should be in a General section, because you said it is also to do with Tickling... But when you mention it's about the sleeping Paralysis more so, i understand your point, it may be a touchy subject you are right, however as a person who has sleeping Paralysis, I understand it as well.. and if someone felt it was a touchy subject, then they can speak to me, i would even remove this as a post if it hurt anyone... I know people who really hate sleeping paralysis and how it effects their life, and some it doesn't, as mentioned my housemate has it, and its effected him since he was a child... So i understand that.

Saying people like to bash religious individuals, yes that happens... but religious groups attack each other... it happens, religious people attack an Atheists view... i know of Catholics who have told people they will be going to hell because of what they don't believe in...Yet i know Atheists who believe they are so "Clever" and that is why they don't believe in a God, and attack the Catholics faith as well. Everyone has a belief, and they have the right to believe in what they do, for if you believe you are right, no one can tell you you're wrong.

Even Atheism is a religious belief in many ways, the belief that there is no God etc. People get attacked for any belief... just like how us people with a Tickling Fetish will get attacked as freaks and weirdo's... But yes that again is another topic.

I never said it was illegal. Stop putting words in my mouth. Reread my post. It's as clear as day. (For most people.)

I'm sorry, i use it as a saying, i always have... I'm not putting words in your mouth, so sorry if i offended you, it wasn't as clear for me as i didn't get why you were saying that... so no need to call me thick in passing.

Nope I don't, as i said, I didn't understand why you were making a point it should be in the General thread and then said it involved tickling though... so that was why i brought it up... now i do.
It can be considered a religious view in many ways yes, it's been spoken about in many religions before... But my original post was actually just about the tickling during it mostly, and wondering if anyone else had had the same sensations.
If people believe Sleeping Paralysis is something trying to Possess you, or whatever they make of it... well thats what they believe. I don't understand it and have yet to have a complete idea why some people have sleeping paralysis, it's something out of the ordinary thats for sure.

Yes I get it, I'm sorry it peeved you so much.

It's not big deal. Don't worry about it.

I made that comment to take preventative measures. That's all. No harm, no foul.
