Sleepless nights

Howdy y'all. ^^

Well, I've been getting a few restless nights lately because my wife hasn't been able to sleep much. Some issues with her best friend and stuff like that.

Anyway, she asked me if I ever had some sleepless nights before, in hope of finding an idea on how to get to sleep, and it reminded me of a time back when I was 13 or 14, just around the time that I was coming to grips with my fetish. In the day, around Summer time, we were allowed to go on the field during break because it was quite hot. I was running around, throwing a frisbee and shit when I decided to sit down next to my mates for a break. That's when I caught a glimpse of my mate (who for the sake of conversation, we'll call Marie). For a while I had had a crush on her. She was sweet, cute and great to talk to. Anyway, as I was lying down on the grass, she called over to me and said "Does it smell ok over there, Rob?"... slightly baffled by what she meant, I looked to the left of me to make sure I wasn't lying in anything... smelly, and then I looked to the right of me and right in front of my face, two of the cutest feet I had ever seen at that point were staring me right in the face. I mean, flawless skin and perfect dimensions and if they were as ticklish as her ribs then they would be perfect. <3
Now, being the awesome actor I was back then, I managed to keep my cool and reply "... nice". She giggled and then moved them back into her original sititng position before chatting to me. That following night, I laid awake just remembering that moment. I'd never seen her feet bare before yet I'd always wanted to. That one moment kept replaying in my head for a while, keeping me awake. Was worth the struggle to get up that next morning though. 😛

Now, I didn't tell my wife this as to prevent making her struggle to sleep worse. I just replied about another time during a tough finanical year at work. :super_hap

Anyway, have any of you ever had experiences like that which have kept you awake before?
 
I've had experiences that have kept me awake..but not tickle related...
 
I'm an insomniac, and I've gone to a sleep study, and seen various doctors for it, being prescribed various medications, which have just acted as a band-aid, let alone an ineffective band-aid at that.
Anyways, what has been suggested to me is trying to go to sleep 'slightly' earlier, and try to be as relaxed as possible: take a warm bath right before, read a book, have some warm milk, stuff like that. Also, if you haven't fallen asleep in 45-90 minutes, you should get up and out of bed, and actually do something (anything) until you feel the tugs of sleep pulling at you again. As well, you should try to prevent doing other things where you'd normally sleep (which I'm terrible for ignoring :blush). Get a nice, comfortable chair to read that book in, right at the foot of your bed, or just somewhere else where you can do other things, and reserve your bed for sleeping (and... other things a married couple would normally do :blush).
