Hello friends/members. I'm pretty much back for now from my long move and whatnot, and I'm going to get to my updates soon.

I just wanted to know how everyone is doing, and whats been going on around here lately. If someone would be kind enough to bring me up to date with the important happenings around these parts, I'd be really appriciative.

Any new artists, new group/sites or updates I should know about? I have been in and out during the last 6 months or so, but I haven't had the time to be on long enough to scope out everything.

😀 Long time, no read Celtic.😛 😀 There's a cool new anime clip posted. I made attempts to draw anime cartoons. I think there might be some new yahoo groups. There are a couple of new non-anime artists. 😀
 
Its really good to see you again, my friend, and thanks for the recap.

One thing that does still anger me is that no one is replying to your artwork here or anywhere. Dispite what people think or say, I know you've got un-tapped potential. I really admire the fact that you can keep posting your pictures in threads even while being ignored. I don't know how to say this without sounding condecending, but I'm proud of you. And, I hope you keep doing what your doing. ^____^

😀 Some have and others haven't. Shock, our newest artist has given me his support and so has AphxA and I have gotten some great tips from Venger. 😀

@ FF7Tickler- Hmm, I think I've seen that artwork before, but somewhere else. Are you sure hes new?


@ rajee- Yeah, I'm aware of that place, and I've been keeping tabs on it. I can't say I'd really want to participate there anymore however. It just doesn't seem like enough attention or potential could be drawn from that place for me. Its rather inactive, for a community, though it is true there is talent there. I hope things start picking up for it.

Rajee, I think your artwork is fairly good, even though I believe you would do much better if you applied more time. The main reason I don't post on your work though, is that I usually don't like the topics of the pictures. Not that their bad, just not my taste. But I do applaud your postings and the fact that you reply to just about every post on this forum. You are a wonderful guy.

To Celtic:

Great to see you back in action. I've really missed you.
 
Hear, hear! Hes an outstanding person in my book, and thats why it frustrates me that hardly no one is giving him the time of day. If it was only based on the content, then he should be getting more replies. If its based on the quality of his art, I don't feel its just because of that, because likewise I'm avoided and my art is exceptional (without patting myself on the back too much).

Another thing is that he and I have different attitudes. He appears to be passive-agressive and I'm just plain blunt and agressive(a reason I'm avoided). So it doesn't make sense that hes getting less attention than me. My point is, I don't thing its all about his art really. Theres something else motivating this. Although theres no need to get into it now.

Lets just put it this way- He's got more talent than I do and hes far more well-rounded than I am as an artist. I think my problem is I associate too many emotions into what I do, so much so that I'm technical about it. That can hurt and help an artist, but I guess I'm just not as comfortable with all of this like he is. To be honest, hes having more fun doing this than I am, and thats where I'm falling short. Not having nearly as much fun as I should. I put too many boundaries on what I draw. I should just...well....shut up and draw. LOL

PS: I've really missed you too. ^___^

As for new artists, if memory serves, the 2 major arrivals in your absence have been Okari and Shock, both of whom have significant talent, though of course reception of particular images will vary according to personal tastes. (My apologies if I forgot anyone else who's new too.) Also, Osaka at last posted a new tickling image (his second of Velma, from Scooby Doo). We've also had very nice work from already-established people, such as GrippedChimp, Cheshire_Cat, and Khali, and many contributions from Rajee. Critterlord has done some cute pics, too.

I think the clip Rajee was referring to was the one from Dragon Quest, certainly one of the best mainstream finds ever. A good-quality version is available on my group and on Critterlord's, as well as several other places.

Nothing else leaps to mind, though I've probably forgotten something obvious...

Well, anyway, welcome back.
 
You may be thinking of Dark Convoys work. But the artist just showed up at the ATF a while ago.
 
@ U.N Owen- Thanks, its good to be back. Thanks for the info, even though I was already aware of those things. I like to keep tabs on some of the artists here as well.

If you've forgotten something obvious, then I'm sure it will come to you soon enough.


@ FF7Tickler- Yeah, it does look like his at a glance, but it just looks fimiliar from somewhere else. Ah well, maybe I'm just imagining things. I have been gone for the better half of 6 months afterall. ^__^

😀 Thanks for the support, Celtic. There is nothing wrong about puttting emotion behind or with your artwork. I believe true artwork comes from the soul and heart. I am sure your anime brethren will reply to your artwork when you post it. I certainly will. I post my cartoons for myself first, and everyone else second. I am my biggest fan of my artwork and I enjoy seeing it on the web.
There is a non-tickling related art forum with alot of members calledShane's sketchbook where members go to see artwork with no ulterior motive. You could try posting your sketches there. 😀

@ rajee- You're very welcome. And yes, I know theres nothing wrong with it. I guess I just can't expect everyone to feel the same level of concern over what I'm drawing as far as the fetish is concerned, as I do. Like you, I do draw for myself first. Otherwise, there would be no point to it. Its something I do to entertain myself. However, when I got the internet, I learned of a world of people I could share my gift with, and what a treat its been to do so.

If there ever really was a discomfort I had its the content people would like me to draw. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a mild female foot fetish (by definition I don't have one though, being that I don't need it for sexual gratification, nor do I see feet in a sexual way so I question whether I even have a fetish). But see, in the real world, I don't express it, and its not out of fear or anything. It just doesn't seem like something I'd want to do or have done to me. So, this art is the only real way I have to express my fetish (is it a fetish?), so its something I'd like to consider sacred to me, no matter how its viewed by others.

See? That was a mouthful. LOL ^_______^

I'll give that site a try soon.

Well now, you've certainly been gone for some time.😀 Welcome back! The only thing of significance I can add is an additional artist arrival, that of Ren, who's briefcase address I seem to have missplaced. Talent anew has popped up in the past few months. Of course, we've been missing your work as well. ^.^ Otherwise, same stuff, different day.
 
I just realized you already knew of Ren from FF7's thread. Curse my posting before reading everything.....
 
Its alright, alot of people here do that. In fact, I question whether or not people actually read my lengthy posts and just prefer to skip straight to the pictures. I find that to be pretty selfish. Its not like I'm charging anybody any money or forcing this down their throats. If they want nothing to do with me, then they want nothing to do with my art. Theres no way you can seperate us. You either accept the complete package or you don't. So be gone with you people that are like that. Although we all know they'll look at my pictures anyway. Sigh...part of being an artist who also shares his work online is that it can make you feel cheap sometimes. I wouldn't doubt the others have felt this way at some point. I like to call it "Artist's Complex".
 
Yeah, but this isn't my fault, its on everyone else that acts as I said. Its not my fault they are too lazy, too selfish, etc.. Its people like them that create a complex in us. In case you haven't noticed, online at least, I'm a person that takes things to heart. So I hate it when people take advantage of my good nature. Any hostilities on my part are a direct result of what someone else did. The proof is there if there is any denial. Its what these people are doing, no, rather, what they are NOT doing that creates the problem in the first place. I could go on and on and no one would care right now, and thats because your not in my position. The only ones that could possibly understand are the artists themselves or the authors, or any creators of something.

Its very hard to be a consistant giver, when the recievers are being idle and complacent. The other artists and I should be getting far more replies than we are. I'm tired of seeing things like "good work" "well done" "I like it" "keep it up".

Those are just the replies of a half-assed person whose too damn lazy to really get into the element and actually say something meaningful, contructive, destructive, etc.. If they don't like what I'm saying, they need to change. Part of being on a forum is to talk and converse, and when it comes to this, you should expect for there to be a request for opinion, dialogue, and the whole nine yards. Its not that I'm heavily requesting it necessarily, its just one of the givens of any social setting. If your not doing your assumed job as a poster and user, than what are you beyond a spammer and 3rd party?

Numbah tow, I have indeed noticed, it's one of the things I like about you. Where most people could care less or are two apathetic to bother, you try to do something about it.

Hopefully things will change, but it is unlikely that it will be soom.
 
Or ever. And maybe when you look at things in a wider perspective, its not worth it. I shouldn't have to bitch, whine, or complain for things to get done. This site is in a bad way, and its become a chronic bad habit to be withdrawn and reclusive. Sure, one thing is being shy, but its not like I can see you, now can I? I'm not the all-seeing eye of Sauron for crying out loud. 🙄
