Hey guys. Don't post here all that but I finally opened up about my fetish and wanted to share. Last night me and three of my friends were all hanging out and drinking at one of their apartments. I had champagne for the first time and found it quite good. And of course, as you know, when you drink you feel a little less self-conscious and less worried about how people will react to what you say. Now I've been drunk/tipsy numerous times and have never uttered a word about this fetish to anyone. I've kept it to myself for years and I've always been afraid of telling anyone. But my friends were all talking very openly about sexuality (we're all very liberal) and somehow the topic of fetishes came up. Before I could stop myself I randomly blurted out that I had one. They proceeded to try and guess it but I was embarrassed and just didn't say anything.

A few hours later the alcohol had worn off and I was sober and the conversation came up again. But remarkably enough I wasn't even that embarrassed while sober. They tried guessing for fifteen minutes before I finally told them and much to my relief they said "oh...that's it?" I explained a bit about it so they'd understand what it was all about and they were totally cool with it and accepting. I admit I felt weird about it the next morning and I've felt like a part of me has changed now that people who I am close to now know, but its nice to have people in your life that are fully accepting. Just thought I would share in case anyone has been toying with the idea of telling someone they know🙂

Were these friends you told potential tickle play partners or potential romantic partners or just good, platonic friends? And are any of them the type to tell others?

Thanks for sharing..finally a meaningful post...all I've seen are dramatic goodbyes or why this site "lacks" women..lol

kudos for speaking up... hmm..be careful around these friends next time ur drinking as they may test out your fetish lol..not that that would be a bad thing! 🙂.

Congrats BaseballGirl! I remember when I first told my friends about my fetish. I was so nervous but they all accepted it and it didn't bother them at all. They tease me about it now and then but it's really nothing to be ashamed of. Doesn't it feel great to have told them?

And you're right Beauty, all the posts lately have been goodbyes or about the lack of women. Hopefully things change soon.

Congratulations! I sure it feels great to have such friends. 😀

I've seen a few posts similar to this lately, and every time someone shares an experience of opening up about their fetish, their friends seem cool with it. I don't know if it's because society has become more liberal about sexuality or if it's because with a wider availability of porn people aren't phased by much. Either way it's good that you have friends who accept your fetish even though they don't appear to share it. Congrats!

You know what? I'm not at all surprised. The key is that you were a group of friends talking about your sexuality. When friends are telling you about their sexual habits and inviting you to share yours, in that context, the fact that you get turned on by tickling or being tickled really isn't any big shock. I would say that's especially true if all of you are women. Oftentimes, when people think the question is whether the other person would be shocked to learn you have a tickle fetish, the real question is whether the other person would be uncomfortable hearing you talk about your sex life--whatever may be going on in it.
