Is it possibly to be so ticklish it hurts?

There is a tickleabuse video where the lee (a male) sounds like he is in pain even though the ler isn'[t using hard tickling. I"m not sure if it is acted or not but still...

Is it possible that someone is so ticklish instead of laughing they cry out in pain and not laugh at all? Interesting thought, although to be tickling should be able laughing.

Oh yes! You can't help the laughter response because of the stimuli, but yes, it can hurt like HELL if done wrong, too hard, or in an overly sensitive spot. Any good ler can respect that.

My Mom describes tickling as “painful”. I don’t know what her reaction looks like... because I’m pretty sure she would kill anyone she thought might tickle her… but she really sounded like she meant it when she described it like that.

Maybe some people associate the feeling a little too strongly with pain. Kind of like when people associate pain with pleasure.

The only pain i've had from tickling is after being tickled
a) if the person is tickling really hard on like the ribs or something
or b) My stomach aches from laughing so hard, but its a good ache
i've never heard of it

I've experienced two causes of pain from tickling:
1. Muscle spasms -- some muscles can clench painfully tight in reaction to tickling (in particular the abs and the thin muscles covering the ribcage). I've also had an actual abdominal cramp from tickling, but that's rare and generally I am not ticklish in the least while it lasts.
2. Painful laughter -- I've had a couple of cases where my throat did something unusual (like maybe I burped a little while laughing or something), and after that laughing really really hurt until I was able to stop for a few seconds and get it back to normal.
